Surah Taha

Meaning: Ta-Ha (ত়া হা)

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

20:1

طه

Bengali:ত্ব-হা-।
English (Saheeh International):Ṭā, Hā.1
20:2

مَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِتَشْقَىٰٓ

Bengali:তোমাকে ক্লেশ দেয়ার জন্য আমি তোমার প্রতি কুরআন নাযিল করিনি।
English (Saheeh International):We have not sent down to you the Qur’ān that you be distressed
20:3

إِلَّا تَذْكِرَةً لِّمَن يَخْشَىٰ

Bengali:বরং তা (নাযিল করেছি) কেবল সতর্কবাণী হিসেবে যে (আল্লাহকে) ভয় করে তার জন্য।
English (Saheeh International):But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allāh] -
20:4

تَنزِيلًا مِّمَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ ٱلْعُلَى

Bengali:যিনি পৃথিবী ও সুউচ্চ আকাশ সৃষ্টি করেছেন তাঁর নিকট হতে তা নাযিল হয়েছে।
English (Saheeh International):A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens,
20:5

ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱسْتَوَىٰ

Bengali:‘আরশে দয়াময় সমুন্নত আছেন।
English (Saheeh International):The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established.1
20:6

لَهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَمَا تَحْتَ ٱلثَّرَىٰ

Bengali:যা আকাশসমূহে আছে, যা যমীনে আছে, যা এ দু’য়ের মাঝে আছে আর যা ভূগর্ভে আছে সব তাঁরই।
English (Saheeh International):To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil.
20:7

وَإِن تَجْهَرْ بِٱلْقَوْلِ فَإِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلسِّرَّ وَأَخْفَى

Bengali:যদি তুমি উচ্চকণ্ঠে কথা বল (তাহলে জেনে রেখ) তিনি গুপ্ত ও তদপেক্ষাও গুপ্ত বিষয় জানেন।
English (Saheeh International):And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden.
20:8

ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ لَهُ ٱلْأَسْمَآءُ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ

Bengali:আল্লাহ, তিনি ব্যতীত সত্যিকারের কোন ইলাহ নেই, সুন্দর নামসমূহ তাঁরই।
English (Saheeh International):Allāh - there is no deity except Him. To Him belong the best names.
20:9

وَهَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰٓ

Bengali:মূসার কাহিনী তোমার কাছে পৌঁছেছে কি?
English (Saheeh International):And has the story of Moses reached you? -
20:10

إِذْ رَءَا نَارًا فَقَالَ لِأَهْلِهِ ٱمْكُثُوٓا۟ إِنِّىٓ ءَانَسْتُ نَارًا لَّعَلِّىٓ ءَاتِيكُم مِّنْهَا بِقَبَسٍ أَوْ أَجِدُ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ هُدًى

Bengali:যখন সে আগুন দেখল (মাদ্ইয়ান থেকে মিসর যাবার পথে), তখন সে তার পরিবারবর্গকে বলল, ‘তোমরা এখানে অবস্থান কর, আমি আগুন দেখেছি, সম্ভবতঃ আমি তাত্থেকে তোমাদের জন্য কিছু জ্বলন্ত আগুন আনতে পারব কিংবা আগুনের নিকট পথের সন্ধান পাব।
English (Saheeh International):When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance."
20:11

فَلَمَّآ أَتَىٰهَا نُودِىَ يَـٰمُوسَىٰٓ

Bengali:তারপর যখন যে আগুনের কাছে আসল, তাকে ডাক দেয়া হল, ‘হে মূসা!
English (Saheeh International):And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses,
20:12

إِنِّىٓ أَنَا۠ رَبُّكَ فَٱخْلَعْ نَعْلَيْكَ ۖ إِنَّكَ بِٱلْوَادِ ٱلْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى

Bengali:বাস্তবিকই আমি তোমার প্রতিপালক, কাজেই তোমার জুতা খুলে ফেল, তুমি পবিত্র তুওয়া উপত্যকায় আছ।
English (Saheeh International):Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the blessed valley of Ṭuwā.
20:13

وَأَنَا ٱخْتَرْتُكَ فَٱسْتَمِعْ لِمَا يُوحَىٰٓ

Bengali:আমি তোমাকে বেছে নিয়েছি, কাজেই তুমি মনোযোগ দিয়ে শুনো যা তোমার প্রতি ওয়াহী করা হচ্ছে।
English (Saheeh International):And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you].
20:14

إِنَّنِىٓ أَنَا ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنَا۠ فَٱعْبُدْنِى وَأَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ لِذِكْرِىٓ

Bengali:প্রকৃতই আমি আল্লাহ, আমি ছাড়া সত্যিকারের কোন ইলাহ নেই, কাজেই আমার ‘ইবাদাত কর, আর আমাকে স্মরণ করার উদ্দেশ্যে নামায কায়িম কর।’
English (Saheeh International):Indeed, I am Allāh. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance.
20:15

إِنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ ءَاتِيَةٌ أَكَادُ أُخْفِيهَا لِتُجْزَىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍۭ بِمَا تَسْعَىٰ

Bengali:কিয়ামাত আসবেই, আমি তা গোপন রাখতে চাই, যাতে প্রত্যেক ব্যক্তি স্বীয় চেষ্টা-সাধনা অনুপাতে ফল লাভ করতে পারে।
English (Saheeh International):Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it1 - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives.
20:16

فَلَا يَصُدَّنَّكَ عَنْهَا مَن لَّا يُؤْمِنُ بِهَا وَٱتَّبَعَ هَوَىٰهُ فَتَرْدَىٰ

Bengali:কাজেই ক্বিয়ামতে যে বিশ্বাস করে না এবং স্বীয় প্রবৃত্তির অনুসরণ করে, সে যেন তোমাকে তাত্থেকে কোনক্রমেই বিচ্যুত করতে না পারে, তাহলে তুমি ধ্বংস হয়ে যাবে।
English (Saheeh International):So do not let one avert you from it1 who does not believe in it and follows his desire, for you [then] would perish.
20:17

وَمَا تِلْكَ بِيَمِينِكَ يَـٰمُوسَىٰ

Bengali:‘হে মূসা! তোমার ডান হাতে ওটা কী?’
English (Saheeh International):And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?"
20:18

قَالَ هِىَ عَصَاىَ أَتَوَكَّؤُا۟ عَلَيْهَا وَأَهُشُّ بِهَا عَلَىٰ غَنَمِى وَلِىَ فِيهَا مَـَٔارِبُ أُخْرَىٰ

Bengali:সে বলল, ‘এটা আমার লাঠি, আমি ওতে ভর দেই, এর সাহায্যে আমি আমার মেষপালের জন্য গাছের পাতা ঝেড়ে দেই আর এতে আমার আরো অনেক কাজ হয়।’
English (Saheeh International):He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses."
20:19

قَالَ أَلْقِهَا يَـٰمُوسَىٰ

Bengali:আল্লাহ বললেন, ‘হে মূসা! ওটা নিক্ষেপ কর।’
English (Saheeh International):[Allāh] said, "Throw it down, O Moses."
20:20

فَأَلْقَىٰهَا فَإِذَا هِىَ حَيَّةٌ تَسْعَىٰ

Bengali:তখন সে তা নিক্ষেপ করল, অমনি তা সাপ হয়ে ছুটোছুটি করতে লাগল।
English (Saheeh International):So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly.
20:21

قَالَ خُذْهَا وَلَا تَخَفْ ۖ سَنُعِيدُهَا سِيرَتَهَا ٱلْأُولَىٰ

Bengali:আল্লাহ বললেন, ‘ওটাকে ধর, ভয় পেও না, আমি সেটাকে এক্ষুনি তার আগের রূপে ফিরিয়ে দেব।
English (Saheeh International):[Allāh] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition.
20:22

وَٱضْمُمْ يَدَكَ إِلَىٰ جَنَاحِكَ تَخْرُجْ بَيْضَآءَ مِنْ غَيْرِ سُوٓءٍ ءَايَةً أُخْرَىٰ

Bengali:আর তোমার হাত বগলে দিয়ে টান, তা ক্ষতিকর নয় এমন শুভ্রোজ্জ্বল হয়ে বের হয়ে আসবে- অন্য আরেকটি নিদর্শন হিসেবে।
English (Saheeh International):And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign,
20:23

لِنُرِيَكَ مِنْ ءَايَـٰتِنَا ٱلْكُبْرَى

Bengali:যাতে আমি তোমাকে আমার বড় বড় নিদর্শনগুলোর কিছু দেখাতে পারি।
English (Saheeh International):That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs.
20:24

ٱذْهَبْ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ

Bengali:ফেরাউনের কাছে যাও, বাস্তবিকই সে সীমালঙ্ঘন করেছে।’
English (Saheeh International):Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed [i.e., tyrannized]."
20:25

قَالَ رَبِّ ٱشْرَحْ لِى صَدْرِى

Bengali:মূসা বলল, ‘হে আমার প্রতিপালক! আমার জন্য আমার বক্ষকে প্রশস্ত করে দাও
English (Saheeh International):[Moses] said, "My Lord, expand [i.e., relax] for me my breast [with assurance]
20:26

وَيَسِّرْ لِىٓ أَمْرِى

Bengali:আর আমার জন্য আমার কাজকে সহজ করে দাও।
English (Saheeh International):And ease for me my task
20:27

وَٱحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِّن لِّسَانِى

Bengali:আমার জিহ্বার জড়তা দূর করে দাও।
English (Saheeh International):And untie the knot from my tongue
20:28

يَفْقَهُوا۟ قَوْلِى

Bengali:যাতে তারা আমার কথা বুঝতে পারে।
English (Saheeh International):That they may understand my speech.
20:29

وَٱجْعَل لِّى وَزِيرًا مِّنْ أَهْلِى

Bengali:আর আমার পরিবার হতে আমার জন্য একজন সাহায্যকারী বানিয়ে দাও।
English (Saheeh International):And appoint for me a minister [i.e., assistant] from my family -
20:30

هَـٰرُونَ أَخِى

Bengali:আমার ভাই হারূনকে।
English (Saheeh International):Aaron, my brother.
20:31

ٱشْدُدْ بِهِۦٓ أَزْرِى

Bengali:তার দ্বারা আমার শক্তি বৃদ্ধি কর।
English (Saheeh International):Increase through him my strength
20:32

وَأَشْرِكْهُ فِىٓ أَمْرِى

Bengali:আমার কাজে তাকে অংশীদার কর।
English (Saheeh International):And let him share my task
20:33

كَىْ نُسَبِّحَكَ كَثِيرًا

Bengali:যাতে আমরা বেশি বেশি করে তোমার পবিত্রতা ও মহিমা ঘোষণা করতে পারি।
English (Saheeh International):That we may exalt You much
20:34

وَنَذْكُرَكَ كَثِيرًا

Bengali:আর তোমাকে অধিক স্মরণ করতে পারি।
English (Saheeh International):And remember You much.
20:35

إِنَّكَ كُنتَ بِنَا بَصِيرًا

Bengali:তুমি তো আমাদের অবস্থা সবই দেখছ।’
English (Saheeh International):Indeed, You are of us ever Seeing."
20:36

قَالَ قَدْ أُوتِيتَ سُؤْلَكَ يَـٰمُوسَىٰ

Bengali:তিনি (আল্লাহ) বললেন, ‘হে মূসা! তোমার প্রার্থনা গৃহীত হল।
English (Saheeh International):[Allāh] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses.
20:37

وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَيْكَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَىٰٓ

Bengali:আমি তো তোমার উপর আরো একবার অনুগ্রহ করেছিলাম।
English (Saheeh International):And We had already conferred favor upon you another time,
20:38

إِذْ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّكَ مَا يُوحَىٰٓ

Bengali:যখন আমি তোমার মায়ের প্রতি ইঙ্গিত করেছিলাম যা ওয়াহীযোগে জানানো হয়েছিল-
English (Saheeh International):When We inspired to your mother what We inspired,
20:39

أَنِ ٱقْذِفِيهِ فِى ٱلتَّابُوتِ فَٱقْذِفِيهِ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ فَلْيُلْقِهِ ٱلْيَمُّ بِٱلسَّاحِلِ يَأْخُذْهُ عَدُوٌّ لِّى وَعَدُوٌّ لَّهُۥ ۚ وَأَلْقَيْتُ عَلَيْكَ مَحَبَّةً مِّنِّى وَلِتُصْنَعَ عَلَىٰ عَيْنِىٓ

Bengali:যে তুমি মূসাকে সিন্দুকের মধ্যে রাখ। তারপর তা দরিয়ায় ভাসিয়ে দাও। অতঃপর দরিয়া তাকে পাড়ে ঠেলে দেবে। তাকে আমার শত্রু ও তার শত্রু উঠিয়ে নেবে। আমি আমার নিকট হতে তোমার প্রতি ভালবাসা ঢেলে দিয়েছিলাম, যাতে তুমি আমার দৃষ্টির সম্মুখে প্রতিপালিত হও।’
English (Saheeh International):[Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me1 that you would be brought up under My eye [i.e., observation and care].
20:40

إِذْ تَمْشِىٓ أُخْتُكَ فَتَقُولُ هَلْ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَن يَكْفُلُهُۥ ۖ فَرَجَعْنَـٰكَ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّكَ كَىْ تَقَرَّ عَيْنُهَا وَلَا تَحْزَنَ ۚ وَقَتَلْتَ نَفْسًا فَنَجَّيْنَـٰكَ مِنَ ٱلْغَمِّ وَفَتَنَّـٰكَ فُتُونًا ۚ فَلَبِثْتَ سِنِينَ فِىٓ أَهْلِ مَدْيَنَ ثُمَّ جِئْتَ عَلَىٰ قَدَرٍ يَـٰمُوسَىٰ

Bengali:যখন তোমার বোন গিয়ে বলল, ‘তোমাদেরকে কি বলে দেব কে এই শিশুর তত্ত্বাবধান ও প্রতিপালনের ভার নেবে?’ এভাবে আমি তোমাকে তোমার মায়ের কাছে ফিরিয়ে আনলাম যাতে তার চোখ জুড়ায় আর সে দুঃখ না পায়। আর তুমি এক লোককে হত্যা করেছিলে, অতঃপর আমি তোমাকে মনোবেদনা থেকে মুক্তি দিয়েছি। আমি তোমাকে অনেক পরীক্ষা করেছি। অতঃপর তুমি কয়েক বছর মাদ্ইয়ানবাসীদের মধ্যে অবস্থান করলে, এরপর হে মূসা! তুমি নির্ধারিত সময়ে এসে হাযির হয়েছ।
English (Saheeh International):[And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone,1 but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses.
20:41

وَٱصْطَنَعْتُكَ لِنَفْسِى

Bengali:আমি তোমাকে আমার নিজের জন্য তৈরি করেছি।
English (Saheeh International):And I produced you for Myself.1
20:42

ٱذْهَبْ أَنتَ وَأَخُوكَ بِـَٔايَـٰتِى وَلَا تَنِيَا فِى ذِكْرِى

Bengali:তুমি আর তোমার ভাই আমার নিদর্শন নিয়ে যাও আর তোমরা আমাকে স্মরণ করার বিষয়ে শৈথিল্য করো না।
English (Saheeh International):Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance.
20:43

ٱذْهَبَآ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ

Bengali:তোমরা দু’জন ফেরাউনের নিকট যাও, বস্তুতঃ সে সীমালঙ্ঘন করেছে।
English (Saheeh International):Go, both of you, to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed.
20:44

فَقُولَا لَهُۥ قَوْلًا لَّيِّنًا لَّعَلَّهُۥ يَتَذَكَّرُ أَوْ يَخْشَىٰ

Bengali:তার সঙ্গে তোমরা নম্রভাবে কথা বলবে, হয়তো সে উপদেশ গ্রহণ করবে কিংবা (আল্লাহর) ভয় করবে।’
English (Saheeh International):And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allāh]."
20:45

قَالَا رَبَّنَآ إِنَّنَا نَخَافُ أَن يَفْرُطَ عَلَيْنَآ أَوْ أَن يَطْغَىٰ

Bengali:তারা বলল, ‘হে আমাদের প্রতিপালক! আমাদের ভয় হচ্ছে সে আমাদের প্রতি হঠাৎ উত্তেজিত হয়ে উঠবে কিংবা আমাদের প্রতি আচরণে বাড়াবাড়ি করবে।’
English (Saheeh International):They said, "Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress."
20:46

قَالَ لَا تَخَافَآ ۖ إِنَّنِى مَعَكُمَآ أَسْمَعُ وَأَرَىٰ

Bengali:তিনি বললেন, ‘তোমরা ভয় করো না, আমি তোমাদের সাথেই আছি, আমি (সব কিছু) শুনি আর দেখি।
English (Saheeh International):[Allāh] said, "Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see.
20:47

فَأْتِيَاهُ فَقُولَآ إِنَّا رَسُولَا رَبِّكَ فَأَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَلَا تُعَذِّبْهُمْ ۖ قَدْ جِئْنَـٰكَ بِـَٔايَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّكَ ۖ وَٱلسَّلَـٰمُ عَلَىٰ مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلْهُدَىٰٓ

Bengali:কাজেই তোমরা দু’জন তার কাছে এসো আর বল- আমরা তোমার প্রতিপালকের রসূল, কাজেই বানী ইসরাঈলকে আমাদের সঙ্গে পাঠিয়ে দাও, তাদের প্রতি উৎপীড়ন করো না। তোমার প্রতিপালকের নিদর্শনসহই আমরা তোমার কাছে এসেছি, আর শান্তি বর্ষিত হোক তাদের প্রতি যারা সৎ পথ অনুসরণ করে।
English (Saheeh International):So go to him and say, 'Indeed, we are messengers of your Lord, so send with us the Children of Israel and do not torment them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord. And peace1 will be upon he who follows the guidance.
20:48

إِنَّا قَدْ أُوحِىَ إِلَيْنَآ أَنَّ ٱلْعَذَابَ عَلَىٰ مَن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ

Bengali:আমাদের কাছে ওয়াহী করা হয়েছে যে শাস্তি (অপেক্ষা করছে) তার জন্য যে (সত্য) প্রত্যাখ্যান করে আর মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়।’
English (Saheeh International):Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.'"
20:49

قَالَ فَمَن رَّبُّكُمَا يَـٰمُوسَىٰ

Bengali:ফেরাউন বলল, ‘হে মূসা! কে তোমাদের প্রতিপালক?’
English (Saheeh International):[Pharaoh] said, "So who is the Lord of you two, O Moses?"
20:50

قَالَ رَبُّنَا ٱلَّذِىٓ أَعْطَىٰ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ خَلْقَهُۥ ثُمَّ هَدَىٰ

Bengali:মূসা বলল, ‘আমাদের প্রতিপালক তিনি যিনি সকল (সৃষ্ট) বস্তুকে আকৃতি দান করেছেন, অতঃপর পথ প্রদর্শন করেছেন।’
English (Saheeh International):He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]."
20:51

قَالَ فَمَا بَالُ ٱلْقُرُونِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ

Bengali:ফেরাউন বলল, ‘তাহলে আগের যুগের লোকেদের অবস্থা কী?’
English (Saheeh International):[Pharaoh] said, "Then what is the case of the former generations?"
20:52

قَالَ عِلْمُهَا عِندَ رَبِّى فِى كِتَـٰبٍ ۖ لَّا يَضِلُّ رَبِّى وَلَا يَنسَى

Bengali:মূসা বলল, ‘তার জ্ঞান আমার প্রতিপালকের কাছে (রক্ষিত) কিতাবে আছে, আমার প্রতিপালক ভুল করেন না, ভুলেও যান না।’
English (Saheeh International):[Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets."
20:53

ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ مَهْدًا وَسَلَكَ لَكُمْ فِيهَا سُبُلًا وَأَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِۦٓ أَزْوَٰجًا مِّن نَّبَاتٍ شَتَّىٰ

Bengali:যিনি তোমাদের জন্য যমীনকে করেছেন বিছানা, আর তাতে তোমাদের জন্য ক’রে দিয়েছেন চলার পথ। আর আকাশ থেকে তিনি পানি বর্ষণ করেন আর তা দিয়ে আমি বিভিন্ন লতা-যুগল উদগত করি যার প্রত্যেকটি অন্যটি থেকে আলাদা।
English (Saheeh International):[It is He] who has made for you the earth as a bed [spread out] and inserted therein for you roadways and sent down from the sky, rain and produced thereby categories of various plants.
20:54

كُلُوا۟ وَٱرْعَوْا۟ أَنْعَـٰمَكُمْ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ لِّأُو۟لِى ٱلنُّهَىٰ

Bengali:তোমরা খাও আর তোমাদের গবাদি পশু চরাও, এতে বিবেকবানদের জন্য বহু নিদর্শন আছে।
English (Saheeh International):Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed in that are signs for those of intelligence.
20:55

۞ مِنْهَا خَلَقْنَـٰكُمْ وَفِيهَا نُعِيدُكُمْ وَمِنْهَا نُخْرِجُكُمْ تَارَةً أُخْرَىٰ

Bengali:মাটি থেকে আমি তোমাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করেছি, তাতেই আমি তোমাদেরকে ফিরিয়ে নেব, আর তাত্থেকে তোমাদেরকে আবার বের করব।
English (Saheeh International):From it [i.e., the earth] We created you, and into it We will return you, and from it We will extract you another time.
20:56

وَلَقَدْ أَرَيْنَـٰهُ ءَايَـٰتِنَا كُلَّهَا فَكَذَّبَ وَأَبَىٰ

Bengali:আমি তাকে (অর্থাৎ ফেরাউনকে) আমার যাবতীয় নিদর্শন দেখিয়েছিলাম কিন্তু সে মিথ্যে মনে ক’রে প্রত্যাখ্যান করেছে ও অমান্য করেছে।
English (Saheeh International):And We certainly showed him [i.e., Pharaoh] Our signs - all of them - but he denied and refused.
20:57

قَالَ أَجِئْتَنَا لِتُخْرِجَنَا مِنْ أَرْضِنَا بِسِحْرِكَ يَـٰمُوسَىٰ

Bengali:সে বলল, ‘হে মূসা! তুমি কি তোমার যাদুর বলে আমাদেরকে আমাদের দেশ থেকে বের করে দেয়ার জন্য এসেছ?
English (Saheeh International):He said, "Have you come to us to drive us out of our land with your magic, O Moses?
20:58

فَلَنَأْتِيَنَّكَ بِسِحْرٍ مِّثْلِهِۦ فَٱجْعَلْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكَ مَوْعِدًا لَّا نُخْلِفُهُۥ نَحْنُ وَلَآ أَنتَ مَكَانًا سُوًى

Bengali:তাহলে আমরাও অবশ্য অবশ্যই তোমার কাছে অনুরূপ যাদু হাযির করব, কাজেই একটা মধ্যবর্তী স্থানে আমাদের ও তোমাদের মিলিত হওয়ার জন্য একটা নির্দিষ্ট সময় নির্ধারণ কর যার খেলাফ আমরাও করব না, আর তুমিও করবে না।’
English (Saheeh International):Then we will surely bring you magic like it, so make between us and you an appointment, which we will not fail to keep and neither will you, in a place assigned."1
20:59

قَالَ مَوْعِدُكُمْ يَوْمُ ٱلزِّينَةِ وَأَن يُحْشَرَ ٱلنَّاسُ ضُحًى

Bengali:মূসা বলল, ‘তোমাদের (সঙ্গে) ওয়া‘দার নির্ধারিত সময় হল উৎসবের দিন আর দুপুরের আগেই মানুষ যেন পৌঁছে যায়।’
English (Saheeh International):[Moses] said, "Your appointment is on the day of the festival when the people assemble at mid-morning."1
20:60

فَتَوَلَّىٰ فِرْعَوْنُ فَجَمَعَ كَيْدَهُۥ ثُمَّ أَتَىٰ

Bengali:তখন ফেরাউন উঠে গেল, অতঃপর তার কলা-কৌশল একত্র করল, তারপর ফিরে এল।
English (Saheeh International):So Pharaoh went away, put together his plan, and then came [to Moses].
20:61

قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰ وَيْلَكُمْ لَا تَفْتَرُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا فَيُسْحِتَكُم بِعَذَابٍ ۖ وَقَدْ خَابَ مَنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ

Bengali:মূসা তাদেরকে বলল, ‘হায় তোমাদের দুর্ভাগ্য! তোমরা আল্লাহর প্রতি মিথ্যে আরোপ করো না, করলে তিনি তোমাদেরকে ভয়ানক শাস্তি দ্বারা ধ্বংস করে দেবেন। যে মিথ্যে আরোপ করে সে-ই ব্যর্থ হয়।’
English (Saheeh International):Moses said to them [i.e., the magicians summoned by Pharaoh], "Woe to you! Do not invent a lie against Allāh or He will exterminate you with a punishment; and he has failed who invents [such falsehood]."
20:62

فَتَنَـٰزَعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَهُم بَيْنَهُمْ وَأَسَرُّوا۟ ٱلنَّجْوَىٰ

Bengali:তখন তারা তাদের কাজ-কর্ম নিয়ে নিজেদের মধ্যে বাদানুবাদ করল আর তারা গোপনে পরামর্শ করল।
English (Saheeh International):So they disputed over their affair among themselves and concealed their private conversation.
20:63

قَالُوٓا۟ إِنْ هَـٰذَٰنِ لَسَـٰحِرَٰنِ يُرِيدَانِ أَن يُخْرِجَاكُم مِّنْ أَرْضِكُم بِسِحْرِهِمَا وَيَذْهَبَا بِطَرِيقَتِكُمُ ٱلْمُثْلَىٰ

Bengali:তারা বলল, ‘এ দু’জন নিশ্চিতই যাদুকর, তারা তাদের যাদুর বলে তোমাদেরকে তোমাদের দেশ থেকে বের করে দিতে চায় আর তোমাদের উৎকৃষ্ট জীবন পদ্ধতি মুছে ফেলতে চায়।
English (Saheeh International):They said, "Indeed, these are two magicians who want to drive you out of your land with their magic and do away with your most exemplary way [i.e., religion or tradition].
20:64

فَأَجْمِعُوا۟ كَيْدَكُمْ ثُمَّ ٱئْتُوا۟ صَفًّا ۚ وَقَدْ أَفْلَحَ ٱلْيَوْمَ مَنِ ٱسْتَعْلَىٰ

Bengali:কাজেই তোমরা তোমাদের কলা-কৌশল একত্রিত কর, অতঃপর সারিবদ্ধ হয়ে হাজির হয়ে যাও। আজ যে বিজয় লাভ করবে, সে-ই (বরাবর) সফল হবে।’
English (Saheeh International):So resolve upon your plan and then come [forward] in line. And he has succeeded today who overcomes."
20:65

قَالُوا۟ يَـٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِمَّآ أَن تُلْقِىَ وَإِمَّآ أَن نَّكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَلْقَىٰ

Bengali:তারা বলল, ‘হে মূসা! তুমিই (প্রথমে) নিক্ষেপ করবে, না আমরাই প্রথমে নিক্ষেপ করব?’
English (Saheeh International):They said, "O Moses, either you throw or we will be the first to throw."
20:66

قَالَ بَلْ أَلْقُوا۟ ۖ فَإِذَا حِبَالُهُمْ وَعِصِيُّهُمْ يُخَيَّلُ إِلَيْهِ مِن سِحْرِهِمْ أَنَّهَا تَسْعَىٰ

Bengali:মূসা বলল, ‘বরং তোমরাই নিক্ষেপ কর।’ তখন তাদের যাদুর কারণে মূসার মনে হল যে, তাদের রশি আর লাঠিগুলো ছুটোছুটি করছে।
English (Saheeh International):He said, "Rather, you throw." And suddenly their ropes and staffs seemed to him from their magic that they were moving [like snakes].
20:67

فَأَوْجَسَ فِى نَفْسِهِۦ خِيفَةً مُّوسَىٰ

Bengali:তখন মূসা তার মনে ভীতি অনুভব করল।
English (Saheeh International):And he sensed within himself apprehension, did Moses.
20:68

قُلْنَا لَا تَخَفْ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ

Bengali:আমি বললাম, ‘ভয় করো না, তুমিই বিজয়ী হবে।’
English (Saheeh International):We [i.e., Allāh] said, "Fear not. Indeed, it is you who are superior.
20:69

وَأَلْقِ مَا فِى يَمِينِكَ تَلْقَفْ مَا صَنَعُوٓا۟ ۖ إِنَّمَا صَنَعُوا۟ كَيْدُ سَـٰحِرٍ ۖ وَلَا يُفْلِحُ ٱلسَّاحِرُ حَيْثُ أَتَىٰ

Bengali:তোমার ডান হাতে যা আছে তা নিক্ষেপ কর, তারা যা করেছে এটা তা সব গিলে ফেলবে, তারা যা করেছে তাতো কেবল যাদুকরের কলা-কৌশল। যাদুকর যে রূপ ধরেই আসুক না কেন, সফল হবে না।’
English (Saheeh International):And throw what is in your right hand; it will swallow up what they have crafted. What they have crafted is but the trick of a magician, and the magician will not succeed wherever he is."
20:70

فَأُلْقِىَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سُجَّدًا قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّ هَـٰرُونَ وَمُوسَىٰ

Bengali:(মূসার স্পষ্ট নিদর্শন যখন দেখল) তখন যাদুকরেরা (আল্লাহর প্রতি) সাজদায় লুটিয়ে পড়ল। তারা বলল, ‘আমরা হারূন ও মূসার প্রতিপালকের উপর ঈমান আনলাম।’
English (Saheeh International):So the magicians fell down in prostration.1 They said, "We have believed in the Lord of Aaron and Moses."
20:71

قَالَ ءَامَنتُمْ لَهُۥ قَبْلَ أَنْ ءَاذَنَ لَكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ ٱلَّذِى عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱلسِّحْرَ ۖ فَلَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُم مِّنْ خِلَـٰفٍ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ فِى جُذُوعِ ٱلنَّخْلِ وَلَتَعْلَمُنَّ أَيُّنَآ أَشَدُّ عَذَابًا وَأَبْقَىٰ

Bengali:ফেরাউন বলল, ‘আমি তোমাদেরকে অনুমতি দেয়ার আগেই তোমরা তার প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করলে? নিশ্চয়ই সে তোমাদের প্রধান যে তোমাদেরকে যাদু শিখিয়েছে। কাজেই আমি অবশ্য অবশ্যই তোমাদের হাত আর পা বিপরীত দিক থেকে কেটে ফেলব আর খেজুর গাছের শাখায় তোমাদেরকে অবশ্য অবশ্যই শূলে চড়াব আর তখন তোমরা অবশ্য অবশ্যই জানতে পারবে আমাদের মধ্যে কার ‘আযাব বেশি শক্ত আর বেশি স্থায়ী।
English (Saheeh International):[Pharaoh] said, "You believed him [i.e., Moses] before I gave you permission. Indeed, he is your leader who has taught you magic. So I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will crucify you on the trunks of palm trees, and you will surely know which of us is more severe in [giving] punishment and more enduring."
20:72

قَالُوا۟ لَن نُّؤْثِرَكَ عَلَىٰ مَا جَآءَنَا مِنَ ٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ وَٱلَّذِى فَطَرَنَا ۖ فَٱقْضِ مَآ أَنتَ قَاضٍ ۖ إِنَّمَا تَقْضِى هَـٰذِهِ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَآ

Bengali:তারা বলল, ‘আমাদের নিকট যে স্পষ্ট নিদর্শন এসেছে এবং যিনি আমাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন তার উপর আমরা তোমাকে কক্ষনো প্রাধান্য দেব না। কাজেই তুমি যা করতে চাও তাই কর। কেননা তুমি কেবল এ পার্থিব জীবনেই কর্তৃত্ব খাটাতে পার।
English (Saheeh International):They said, "Never will we prefer you over what has come to us of clear proofs and [over] He who created us.1 So decree whatever you are to decree. You can only decree for this worldly life.
20:73

إِنَّآ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّنَا لِيَغْفِرَ لَنَا خَطَـٰيَـٰنَا وَمَآ أَكْرَهْتَنَا عَلَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلسِّحْرِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ

Bengali:আমরা আমাদের প্রতিপালকের উপর ঈমান এনেছি যাতে তিনি আমাদের অপরাধ ক্ষমা করেন আর যে যাদু করতে তুমি আমাদেরকে বাধ্য করেছ তাও (ক্ষমা করেন), আল্লাহই সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ ও স্থায়ী।’
English (Saheeh International):Indeed, we have believed in our Lord that He may forgive us our sins and what you compelled us [to do] of magic. And Allāh is better and more enduring."1
20:74

إِنَّهُۥ مَن يَأْتِ رَبَّهُۥ مُجْرِمًا فَإِنَّ لَهُۥ جَهَنَّمَ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ

Bengali:যে কেউ তার প্রতিপালকের নিকট অপরাধী অবস্থায় হাযির হবে তার জন্যে আছে জাহান্নাম, সেখানে সে না মরবে, আর না বাঁচবে।
English (Saheeh International):Indeed, whoever comes to his Lord as a criminal - indeed, for him is Hell; he will neither die therein nor live.
20:75

وَمَن يَأْتِهِۦ مُؤْمِنًا قَدْ عَمِلَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ لَهُمُ ٱلدَّرَجَـٰتُ ٱلْعُلَىٰ

Bengali:যে কেউ সৎ ‘আমাল ক’রে মু’মিন অবস্থায় তাঁর নিকট হাযির হবে, তাদের জন্য আছে সুউচ্চ মর্যাদা।
English (Saheeh International):But whoever comes to Him as a believer having done righteous deeds - for those will be the highest degrees [in position]:
20:76

جَنَّـٰتُ عَدْنٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَآءُ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ

Bengali:স্থায়ী জান্নাত, যার পাদদেশে বয়ে চলছে নির্ঝরিণী, সেখানে তারা চিরকাল থাকবে। যারা নিজেদেরকে পবিত্র করে তাদের এটাই পুরস্কার।
English (Saheeh International):Gardens of perpetual residence beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally. And that is the reward of one who purifies himself.1
20:77

وَلَقَدْ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنْ أَسْرِ بِعِبَادِى فَٱضْرِبْ لَهُمْ طَرِيقًا فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ يَبَسًا لَّا تَخَـٰفُ دَرَكًا وَلَا تَخْشَىٰ

Bengali:আমি মূসাকে ওয়াহী করলাম যে, আমার বান্দাহদেরকে নিয়ে রাতের বেলা যাত্রা কর আর তাদের জন্য সমুদ্রের ভিতর একটা শুকনো পথ বানিয়ে নাও। আর পেছন থেকে (ফেরাউন) ধরে ফেলবে এ ভয় করো না, আর (অন্য কোন) আশঙ্কাও করো না।
English (Saheeh International):And We had inspired to Moses, "Travel by night with My servants and strike for them a dry path through the sea; you will not fear being overtaken [by Pharaoh] nor be afraid [of drowning]."
20:78

فَأَتْبَعَهُمْ فِرْعَوْنُ بِجُنُودِهِۦ فَغَشِيَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْيَمِّ مَا غَشِيَهُمْ

Bengali:অতঃপর ফেরাউন তার সৈন্যসামন্ত নিয়ে তাদের পিছু নিল, অতঃপর সমুদ্র তাদের উপর চড়াও হল আর তাদেরকে ডুবিয়ে দিল।
English (Saheeh International):So Pharaoh pursued them with his soldiers, and there covered them from the sea that which covered them,1
20:79

وَأَضَلَّ فِرْعَوْنُ قَوْمَهُۥ وَمَا هَدَىٰ

Bengali:ফেরাউন তার জাতিকে বিপথগামী করেছিল এবং তাদেরকে সঠিক পথ দেখায়নি।
English (Saheeh International):And Pharaoh led his people astray and did not guide [them].
20:80

يَـٰبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ قَدْ أَنجَيْنَـٰكُم مِّنْ عَدُوِّكُمْ وَوَٰعَدْنَـٰكُمْ جَانِبَ ٱلطُّورِ ٱلْأَيْمَنَ وَنَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْمَنَّ وَٱلسَّلْوَىٰ

Bengali:হে বানী ইসরাঈল! আমি তোমাদেরকে তোমাদের শত্রুর কবল থেকে উদ্ধার করেছিলাম আর আমি তোমাদেরকে তূর পাহাড়ের ডানপাশে প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছিলাম (তাওরাত দানের জন্য) আর তোমাদের কাছে পাঠিয়েছিলাম মান্না ও সালওয়া।
English (Saheeh International):O Children of Israel, We delivered you from your enemy, and We made an appointment with you1 at the right side of the mount, and We sent down to you manna and quails,
20:81

كُلُوا۟ مِن طَيِّبَـٰتِ مَا رَزَقْنَـٰكُمْ وَلَا تَطْغَوْا۟ فِيهِ فَيَحِلَّ عَلَيْكُمْ غَضَبِى ۖ وَمَن يَحْلِلْ عَلَيْهِ غَضَبِى فَقَدْ هَوَىٰ

Bengali:তোমাদেরকে যে রিযক দিয়েছি তাত্থেকে উত্তমগুলো আহার কর, আর এতে বাড়াবাড়ি করো না, করলে তোমাদের উপর আমার ‘আযাব সাব্যস্ত হয়ে যাবে। আর আমার ‘আযাব যার উপর সাব্যস্ত হয় সে তো ধ্বংসই হয়ে যায়।
English (Saheeh International):[Saying], "Eat from the good things with which We have provided you and do not transgress [or oppress others] therein, lest My anger should descend upon you. And he upon whom My anger descends has certainly fallen [i.e., perished]."
20:82

وَإِنِّى لَغَفَّارٌ لِّمَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَـٰلِحًا ثُمَّ ٱهْتَدَىٰ

Bengali:আর যে তাওবাহ করে, ঈমান আনে ও সৎকাজ করে আর সৎপথে অটল থাকে, আমি তার জন্য অবশ্যই অতি ক্ষমাশীল।
English (Saheeh International):But indeed, I am the Perpetual Forgiver of whoever repents and believes and does righteousness and then continues in guidance.
20:83

۞ وَمَآ أَعْجَلَكَ عَن قَوْمِكَ يَـٰمُوسَىٰ

Bengali:‘হে মূসা! তোমার সম্প্রদায়কে পেছনে ফেলে (তূর পাহাড়ে আসতে) তুমি জলদি করলে কেন?’
English (Saheeh International):[Allāh said], "And what made you hasten from your people, O Moses?"
20:84

قَالَ هُمْ أُو۟لَآءِ عَلَىٰٓ أَثَرِى وَعَجِلْتُ إِلَيْكَ رَبِّ لِتَرْضَىٰ

Bengali:মূসা বলল, ‘এই তো তারা আমার পদচিহ্ন ধরে আসছে, আমি আপনার কাছে জলদি এলাম, হে আমার প্রতিপালক! যাতে আপনি সন্তুষ্ট হন।’
English (Saheeh International):He said, "They are close upon my tracks, and I hastened to You, my Lord, that You be pleased."
20:85

قَالَ فَإِنَّا قَدْ فَتَنَّا قَوْمَكَ مِنۢ بَعْدِكَ وَأَضَلَّهُمُ ٱلسَّامِرِىُّ

Bengali:তিনি বললেন, ‘তোমার অনুপস্থিতিতে আমি তোমার সম্প্রদায়কে পরীক্ষা করেছি আর সামিরী তাদেরকে গুমরাহ্ করেছে।
English (Saheeh International):[Allāh] said, "But indeed, We have tried your people after you [departed], and the Sāmirī1 has led them astray."
20:86

فَرَجَعَ مُوسَىٰٓ إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ غَضْبَـٰنَ أَسِفًا ۚ قَالَ يَـٰقَوْمِ أَلَمْ يَعِدْكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ وَعْدًا حَسَنًا ۚ أَفَطَالَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْعَهْدُ أَمْ أَرَدتُّمْ أَن يَحِلَّ عَلَيْكُمْ غَضَبٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ فَأَخْلَفْتُم مَّوْعِدِى

Bengali:তখন মূসা রাগে-দুঃখে তার জাতির কাছে ফিরে গেল। সে বলল, ‘হে আমার জাতি! তোমাদের প্রতিপালক কি তোমাদের সঙ্গে ও‘য়াদা করেননি, এক উত্তম ওয়া‘দা। ওয়া‘দা (পূরণের সময় আসতে) কি তোমাদের নিকট সুদীর্ঘ মনে হয়েছে, নাকি তোমরা চেয়েছ যে, তোমাদের প্রতি তোমাদের প্রতিপালকের শাস্তি নেমে আসুক, যে কারণে তোমরা আমার কাছে দেয়া তোমাদের ওয়া‘দা ভঙ্গ করলে?’
English (Saheeh International):So Moses returned to his people, angry and grieved.1 He said, "O my people, did your Lord not make you a good promise?2 Then, was the time [of its fulfillment] too long for you, or did you wish that wrath from your Lord descend upon you, so you broke your promise [of obedience] to me?"
20:87

قَالُوا۟ مَآ أَخْلَفْنَا مَوْعِدَكَ بِمَلْكِنَا وَلَـٰكِنَّا حُمِّلْنَآ أَوْزَارًا مِّن زِينَةِ ٱلْقَوْمِ فَقَذَفْنَـٰهَا فَكَذَٰلِكَ أَلْقَى ٱلسَّامِرِىُّ

Bengali:তারা বলল, ‘আমাদের সাধ্য থাকা পর্যন্ত আমরা তোমার প্রতি দেয়া আমাদের ওয়া‘দা ভঙ্গ করিনি, কিন্তু আমাদের উপর লোকেদের অলঙ্কারের বোঝা চাপিয়ে দেয়া হয়েছিল, আর আমরা তা নিক্ষেপ করেছিলাম (আগুনে), এমনিভাবে সামিরীও নিক্ষেপ করেছিল।
English (Saheeh International):They said, "We did not break our promise to you by our will, but we were made to carry burdens from the ornaments of the people [of Pharaoh], so we threw them [into the fire], and thus did the Sāmirī throw."
20:88

فَأَخْرَجَ لَهُمْ عِجْلًا جَسَدًا لَّهُۥ خُوَارٌ فَقَالُوا۟ هَـٰذَآ إِلَـٰهُكُمْ وَإِلَـٰهُ مُوسَىٰ فَنَسِىَ

Bengali:তখন সে (আগুন থেকে) গো-বৎসের প্রতিকৃতি বের করল, মনে হত সেটা যেন হাম্বা রব করছে। অতঃপর তারা বলল, ‘এটাই তোমাদের ইলাহ আর মূসারও ইলাহ, কিন্তু মূসা ভুলে গেছে।’
English (Saheeh International):And he extracted for them [the statue of] a calf which had a lowing sound, and they said, "This is your god and the god of Moses, but he forgot."
20:89

أَفَلَا يَرَوْنَ أَلَّا يَرْجِعُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَوْلًا وَلَا يَمْلِكُ لَهُمْ ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا

Bengali:তারা কি ভেবে দেখে না যে, তা তাদের কথার জবাব দেয় না, আর তা তাদের কোন ক্ষতি বা উপকার করার সামর্থ্যও রাখে না?
English (Saheeh International):Did they not see that it could not return to them any speech [i.e., response] and that it did not possess for them any harm or benefit?
20:90

وَلَقَدْ قَالَ لَهُمْ هَـٰرُونُ مِن قَبْلُ يَـٰقَوْمِ إِنَّمَا فُتِنتُم بِهِۦ ۖ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ فَٱتَّبِعُونِى وَأَطِيعُوٓا۟ أَمْرِى

Bengali:হারূন তাদেরকে আগেই বলেছিল, ‘হে আমার জাতির লোকেরা! এর (অর্থাৎ গো-বৎসের) দ্বারা তোমাদেরকে পরীক্ষায় ফেলা হয়েছে, তোমাদের প্রতিপালক হলেন দয়াময় (আল্লাহ), কাজেই তোমরা আমার অনুসরণ কর আর আমার কথা মান্য কর।
English (Saheeh International):And Aaron had already told them before [the return of Moses], "O my people, you are only being tested by it, and indeed, your Lord is the Most Merciful, so follow me and obey my order."
20:91

قَالُوا۟ لَن نَّبْرَحَ عَلَيْهِ عَـٰكِفِينَ حَتَّىٰ يَرْجِعَ إِلَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ

Bengali:তারা বলল, ‘আমাদের কাছে মূসা ফিরে না আসা পর্যন্ত আমরা সদাসর্বদা এর সাথেই সংযুক্ত হয়ে থাকব।
English (Saheeh International):They said, "We will never cease being devoted to it [i.e., the calf] until Moses returns to us."
20:92

قَالَ يَـٰهَـٰرُونُ مَا مَنَعَكَ إِذْ رَأَيْتَهُمْ ضَلُّوٓا۟

Bengali:সে (মূসা) বলল, ‘হে হারূন! তুমি যখন দেখলে যে, তারা গুমরাহ্ হয়ে গেছে তখন তোমাকে কে নিষেধ করল
English (Saheeh International):[Moses] said, "O Aaron, what prevented you, when you saw them going astray,
20:93

أَلَّا تَتَّبِعَنِ ۖ أَفَعَصَيْتَ أَمْرِى

Bengali:আমাকে অনুসরণ করতে? তাহলে তুমি কি আমার আদেশ অমান্য করলে?
English (Saheeh International):From following me? Then have you disobeyed my order?"
20:94

قَالَ يَبْنَؤُمَّ لَا تَأْخُذْ بِلِحْيَتِى وَلَا بِرَأْسِىٓ ۖ إِنِّى خَشِيتُ أَن تَقُولَ فَرَّقْتَ بَيْنَ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَلَمْ تَرْقُبْ قَوْلِى

Bengali:হারূন বলল, ‘হে আমার মায়ের পুত্র! আমার দাড়ি ধরে টেন না, আর আমার (মাথার) চুল ধরেও টেন না, আমি ভয় করেছিলাম তুমি বলবে যে, বানী ইসরাঈলের মাঝে তুমি বিভেদ সৃষ্টি করেছ আর তুমি আমার কথা পালন করনি।’
English (Saheeh International):[Aaron] said, "O son of my mother, do not seize [me] by my beard or by my head. Indeed, I feared that you would say, 'You caused division among the Children of Israel, and you did not observe [or await] my word.'"
20:95

قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكَ يَـٰسَـٰمِرِىُّ

Bengali:মূসা বলল, ‘এখন তোমার ব্যাপারটা কী, হে সামিরী?’
English (Saheeh International):[Moses] said, "And what is your case, O Sāmirī?"
20:96

قَالَ بَصُرْتُ بِمَا لَمْ يَبْصُرُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَقَبَضْتُ قَبْضَةً مِّنْ أَثَرِ ٱلرَّسُولِ فَنَبَذْتُهَا وَكَذَٰلِكَ سَوَّلَتْ لِى نَفْسِى

Bengali:সে বলল, ‘আমি দেখেছি যা ওরা দেখেনি, অতঃপর আমি প্রেরিত ব্যক্তির (অর্থাৎ জিবরীলের) পদচিহ্ন থেকে এক মুঠ মাটি নিলাম, অতঃপর আমি তা নিক্ষেপ করলাম (বাছুরের প্রতিকৃতিতে)। আমার মন আমাকে এ মন্ত্রণাই দিল।’
English (Saheeh International):He said, "I saw what they did not see, so I took a handful [of dust] from the track of the messenger1 and threw it,2 and thus did my soul entice me."
20:97

قَالَ فَٱذْهَبْ فَإِنَّ لَكَ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ أَن تَقُولَ لَا مِسَاسَ ۖ وَإِنَّ لَكَ مَوْعِدًا لَّن تُخْلَفَهُۥ ۖ وَٱنظُرْ إِلَىٰٓ إِلَـٰهِكَ ٱلَّذِى ظَلْتَ عَلَيْهِ عَاكِفًا ۖ لَّنُحَرِّقَنَّهُۥ ثُمَّ لَنَنسِفَنَّهُۥ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ نَسْفًا

Bengali:মূসা বলল, ‘তুই দূর হ! এ জীবনে তোর জন্য এ শাস্তিই থাকল যে, তুই বলবি- আমাকে স্পর্শ করো না, আর তোর জন্য একটা নির্দিষ্ট ওয়া‘দা আছে যার খেলাফ হবে না। আর তোর ইলাহর পানে চেয়ে দেখ যাকে তুই ঘিরে থাকতি, আমি তাকে অবশ্য অবশ্যই জ্বলন্ত আগুনে জ্বালিয়ে দেব, আর তাকে ছড়িয়ে ছিটিয়ে অবশ্য অবশ্যই সাগরে নিক্ষেপ করব।’
English (Saheeh International):[Moses] said, "Then go. And indeed, it is [decreed] for you in [this] life to say, 'No contact.'1 And indeed, you have an appointment [in the Hereafter] you will not fail to keep. And look at your 'god' to which you remained devoted. We will surely burn it and blow it [i.e., its ashes] into the sea with a blast.
20:98

إِنَّمَآ إِلَـٰهُكُمُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ وَسِعَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ عِلْمًا

Bengali:তোমাদের ইলাহ একমাত্র আল্লাহ, যিনি ছাড়া সত্যিকারের কোন ইলাহ নেই। যাবতীয় বিষয়ে তাঁর জ্ঞান পরিব্যাপ্ত।
English (Saheeh International):Your god is only Allāh, except for whom there is no deity. He has encompassed all things in knowledge."
20:99

كَذَٰلِكَ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ أَنۢبَآءِ مَا قَدْ سَبَقَ ۚ وَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَـٰكَ مِن لَّدُنَّا ذِكْرًا

Bengali:এভাবে পূর্বে যা ঘটে গেছে তার কিছু সংবাদ আমি তোমার কাছে বর্ণনা করছি, আর আমি আমার নিকট থেকে তোমাকে দান করেছি উপদেশ (বা কুরআন)।
English (Saheeh International):Thus, [O Muḥammad], We relate to you from the news of what has preceded. And We have certainly given you from Us a message [i.e., the Qur’ān].
20:100

مَّنْ أَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ فَإِنَّهُۥ يَحْمِلُ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ وِزْرًا

Bengali:যে তাত্থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেবে, কিয়ামাতের দিন সে (পাপের) বোঝা বহন করবে।
English (Saheeh International):Whoever turns away from it - then indeed, he will bear on the Day of Resurrection a burden [i.e., great sin],
20:101

خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيهِ ۖ وَسَآءَ لَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ حِمْلًا

Bengali:তারা এ অবস্থাতেই স্থায়ীভাবে থাকবে, কিয়ামাতের দিন এ বোঝা তাদের জন্য কতই না মন্দ হবে!
English (Saheeh International):[Abiding] eternally therein,1 and evil it is for them on the Day of Resurrection as a load -
20:102

يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِى ٱلصُّورِ ۚ وَنَحْشُرُ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ يَوْمَئِذٍ زُرْقًا

Bengali:যেদিন সিঙ্গায় ফুঁ দেয়া হবে আর আমি অপরাধীদেরকে একত্রিত করব (ভয়ে ভীত-সন্ত্রস্ত) দৃষ্টিহীন অবস্থায়।
English (Saheeh International):The Day the Horn will be blown. And We will gather the criminals, that Day, blue-eyed.1
20:103

يَتَخَـٰفَتُونَ بَيْنَهُمْ إِن لَّبِثْتُمْ إِلَّا عَشْرًا

Bengali:তারা চুপিসারে নিজেদের মধ্যে বলাবলি করবে যে, (দুনিয়াতে) দশ দিনের বেশি তোমরা অবস্থান করনি।
English (Saheeh International):They will murmur among themselves, "You remained not but ten [days in the world]."
20:104

نَّحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ إِذْ يَقُولُ أَمْثَلُهُمْ طَرِيقَةً إِن لَّبِثْتُمْ إِلَّا يَوْمًا

Bengali:আমি ভালভাবেই জানি তারা যা বলে। তাদের মধ্যে যে উত্তম পথের অনুসারী সে বলবে, ‘তোমরা একদিনের বেশি অবস্থান করনি।’
English (Saheeh International):We are most knowing of what they say when the best of them in manner [i.e., wisdom or speech] will say, "You remained not but one day."
20:105

وَيَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلْجِبَالِ فَقُلْ يَنسِفُهَا رَبِّى نَسْفًا

Bengali:তারা তোমাকে পর্বতগুলো সম্পর্কে প্রশ্ন করে। বল, আমার প্রতিপালক সেগুলো সমূলে উৎপাটিত করবেন এবং ধূলির ন্যায় বিক্ষিপ্ত করবেন।
English (Saheeh International):And they ask you about the mountains, so say, "My Lord will blow them away with a blast.1
20:106

فَيَذَرُهَا قَاعًا صَفْصَفًا

Bengali:অতঃপর তিনি তাকে (অর্থাৎ ভূমিকে) মসৃণ সমতলভূমি করে ছাড়বেন।
English (Saheeh International):And He will leave it [i.e., the earth] a level plain;
20:107

لَّا تَرَىٰ فِيهَا عِوَجًا وَلَآ أَمْتًا

Bengali:তাতে তুমি দেখবে না কোন বক্রতা ও উচ্চতা।
English (Saheeh International):You will not see therein a depression or an elevation."
20:108

يَوْمَئِذٍ يَتَّبِعُونَ ٱلدَّاعِىَ لَا عِوَجَ لَهُۥ ۖ وَخَشَعَتِ ٱلْأَصْوَاتُ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ فَلَا تَسْمَعُ إِلَّا هَمْسًا

Bengali:সেদিন তারা (সোজাসুজি) আহবানকারীর অনুসরণ করবে যার কথা এদিক ওদিক হবে না। দয়াময়ের সম্মুখে সেদিন যাবতীয় আওয়াজ স্তব্ধ হয়ে যাবে (এমনভাবে) যে মৃদু গুঞ্জন ছাড়া তুমি কিছুই শুনবে না।
English (Saheeh International):That Day, they [i.e., everyone] will follow [the call of] the Caller1 [with] no deviation therefrom, and [all] voices will be stilled before the Most Merciful, so you will not hear except a whisper [of footsteps].
20:109

يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا تَنفَعُ ٱلشَّفَـٰعَةُ إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ وَرَضِىَ لَهُۥ قَوْلًا

Bengali:সেদিন কারো সুপারিশ কোন কাজে আসবে না, দয়াময় যাকে অনুমতি দেবেন আর যার কথায় সন্তুষ্ট হবেন তার (সুপারিশ) ব্যতীত।
English (Saheeh International):That Day, no intercession will benefit except [that of] one to whom the Most Merciful has given permission and has accepted his word.
20:110

يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِهِۦ عِلْمًا

Bengali:তাদের সম্মুখে ও পশ্চাতে যা আছে তা তিনি জানেন, তারা জ্ঞান দিয়ে তাঁকে আয়ত্ত করতে পারে না।
English (Saheeh International):He [i.e., Allāh] knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them,1 but they do not encompass it [i.e., what He knows] in knowledge.
20:111

۞ وَعَنَتِ ٱلْوُجُوهُ لِلْحَىِّ ٱلْقَيُّومِ ۖ وَقَدْ خَابَ مَنْ حَمَلَ ظُلْمًا

Bengali:চিরঞ্জীব চিরস্থায়ীর সম্মুখে সকলেই হবে অধোমুখী, আর সে ব্যর্থ হবে যে যুলমের (পাপের) ভার বহন করবে।
English (Saheeh International):And [all] faces will be humbled before the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining.1 And he will have failed who carries injustice.2
20:112

وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلَا يَخَافُ ظُلْمًا وَلَا هَضْمًا

Bengali:যে সৎ কাজ করবে মু’মিন হয়ে, তার অবিচার বা ক্ষতির কোন আশংকা নেই।
English (Saheeh International):But he who does of righteous deeds while he is a believer - he will neither fear injustice nor deprivation.
20:113

وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ قُرْءَانًا عَرَبِيًّا وَصَرَّفْنَا فِيهِ مِنَ ٱلْوَعِيدِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ أَوْ يُحْدِثُ لَهُمْ ذِكْرًا

Bengali:এভাবেই আমি কুরআনকে আরবী ভাষায় নাযিল করেছি আর তাতে সতর্কবাণী বিস্তারিতভাবে বিবৃত করেছি যাতে তারা আল্লাহকে ভয় করে অথবা তা হয় তাদের জন্য উপদেশ।
English (Saheeh International):And thus We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur’ān1 and have diversified therein the warnings that perhaps they will avoid [sin] or it would cause them remembrance.
20:114

فَتَعَـٰلَى ٱللَّهُ ٱلْمَلِكُ ٱلْحَقُّ ۗ وَلَا تَعْجَلْ بِٱلْقُرْءَانِ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يُقْضَىٰٓ إِلَيْكَ وَحْيُهُۥ ۖ وَقُل رَّبِّ زِدْنِى عِلْمًا

Bengali:আল্লাহ সর্বোচ্চ, প্রকৃত অধিপতি, তোমার প্রতি (আল্লাহর) ওয়াহী সম্পূর্ণ হওয়ার পূর্বে তুমি কুরআন বক্ষে ধারণের ব্যাপারে তাড়াহুড়ো করো না। আর বল, ‘হে আমার প্রতিপালক! জ্ঞানে আমায় সমৃদ্ধি দান করুন।’
English (Saheeh International):So high [above all] is Allāh, the Sovereign,1 the Truth.2 And, [O Muḥammad], do not hasten with [recitation of] the Qur’ān before its revelation is completed to you, and say, "My Lord, increase me in knowledge."
20:115

وَلَقَدْ عَهِدْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ ءَادَمَ مِن قَبْلُ فَنَسِىَ وَلَمْ نَجِدْ لَهُۥ عَزْمًا

Bengali:ইতোপূর্বে আমি আদামের নিকট থেকে অঙ্গীকার গ্রহণ করেছিলাম, কিন্তু সে ভুলে গিয়েছিল, আমি তাকে দৃঢ়-সংকল্প পাইনি।
English (Saheeh International):And We had already taken a promise from Adam before, but he forgot; and We found not in him determination.1
20:116

وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِـَٔادَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ أَبَىٰ

Bengali:স্মরণ কর, যখন ফেরেশতাগণকে বলেছিলাম, ‘তোমরা আদামকে সেজদা কর,’ তখন ইবলিস ছাড়া সবাই সেজদা করল, সে অমান্য করল।
English (Saheeh International):And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate to Adam," and they prostrated, except Iblees;1 he refused.
20:117

فَقُلْنَا يَـٰٓـَٔادَمُ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا عَدُوٌّ لَّكَ وَلِزَوْجِكَ فَلَا يُخْرِجَنَّكُمَا مِنَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ فَتَشْقَىٰٓ

Bengali:তখন আমি বললাম, ‘হে আদাম! এ হচ্ছে তোমার আর তোমার স্ত্রীর দুশমন। কাজেই সে যেন কিছুতেই তোমাদেরকে জান্নাত থেকে বের করে না দেয়, তাহলে তোমরা দুর্দশায় পতিত হবে।
English (Saheeh International):So We said, "O Adam, indeed this is an enemy to you and to your wife. Then let him not remove you from Paradise so you would suffer.
20:118

إِنَّ لَكَ أَلَّا تَجُوعَ فِيهَا وَلَا تَعْرَىٰ

Bengali:তোমার জন্য (এত অধিক পরিমাণ) দেয়া হল যে, তুমি সেখানে (অর্থাৎ জান্নাতে) ক্ষুধার্তও হবে না, নগ্নও হবে না।
English (Saheeh International):Indeed, it is [promised] for you not to be hungry therein or be unclothed.
20:119

وَأَنَّكَ لَا تَظْمَؤُا۟ فِيهَا وَلَا تَضْحَىٰ

Bengali:সেখানে তুমি তৃষ্ণার্তও হবে না, রোদেও পুড়বে না।
English (Saheeh International):And indeed, you will not be thirsty therein or be hot from the sun."
20:120

فَوَسْوَسَ إِلَيْهِ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ قَالَ يَـٰٓـَٔادَمُ هَلْ أَدُلُّكَ عَلَىٰ شَجَرَةِ ٱلْخُلْدِ وَمُلْكٍ لَّا يَبْلَىٰ

Bengali:কিন্তু শয়ত্বান তাকে কুমন্ত্রণা দিল। সে বলল, ‘হে আদাম! আমি কি তোমাকে জানিয়ে দেব চিরস্থায়ী জীবনদায়ী গাছের কথা আর এমন রাজ্যের কথা যা কোনদিন ক্ষয় হবে না?’
English (Saheeh International):Then Satan whispered to him; he said, "O Adam, shall I direct you to the tree of eternity and possession that will not deteriorate?"
20:121

فَأَكَلَا مِنْهَا فَبَدَتْ لَهُمَا سَوْءَٰتُهُمَا وَطَفِقَا يَخْصِفَانِ عَلَيْهِمَا مِن وَرَقِ ٱلْجَنَّةِ ۚ وَعَصَىٰٓ ءَادَمُ رَبَّهُۥ فَغَوَىٰ

Bengali:অতঃপর তারা (স্বামী-স্ত্রী) দু’জনে তা (অর্থাৎ সেই গাছ) থেকে খেল তখন তাদের সামনে তাদের লজ্জাস্থান খুলে গেল আর তারা জান্নাতের গাছের পাতা দিয়ে নিজেদেরকে ঢাকতে লাগল। আদাম তার প্রতিপালকের অবাধ্যতা করল, ফলে সে পথভ্রান্ত হয়ে গেল।
English (Saheeh International):And they [i.e., Adam and his wife] ate of it, and their private parts became apparent to them, and they began to fasten over themselves from the leaves of Paradise. And Adam disobeyed his Lord and erred.
20:122

ثُمَّ ٱجْتَبَـٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ فَتَابَ عَلَيْهِ وَهَدَىٰ

Bengali:এরপর তার পালনকর্তা তাকে বাছাই করলেন, তার তাওবাহ কবূল করলেন এবং তাকে সঠিক পথে পরিচালিত করলেন।
English (Saheeh International):Then his Lord chose him and turned to him in forgiveness and guided [him].
20:123

قَالَ ٱهْبِطَا مِنْهَا جَمِيعًۢا ۖ بَعْضُكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ ۖ فَإِمَّا يَأْتِيَنَّكُم مِّنِّى هُدًى فَمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ هُدَاىَ فَلَا يَضِلُّ وَلَا يَشْقَىٰ

Bengali:তিনি বললেন, ‘তোমরা দু’জনে (আদাম ও ইবলীস) একই সঙ্গে নীচে নেমে যাও, তোমরা একে অপরের শত্রু। অতঃপর আমার নিকট থেকে তোমাদের কাছে সঠিক পথের নির্দেশ আসবে, তখন যে আমার পথ নির্দেশ অনুসরণ করবে সে পথভ্রষ্ট হবে না এবং কষ্টে পতিত হবে না।
English (Saheeh International):[Allāh] said, "Descend from it [i.e., Paradise] - all, [your descendants] being enemies to one another. And if there should come to you guidance from Me - then whoever follows My guidance will neither go astray [in the world] nor suffer [in the Hereafter].
20:124

وَمَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَن ذِكْرِى فَإِنَّ لَهُۥ مَعِيشَةً ضَنكًا وَنَحْشُرُهُۥ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ أَعْمَىٰ

Bengali:আর যে আমার স্মরণ থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেবে, তার জীবিকা হবে সংকীর্ণ আর তাকে কিয়ামাতের দিন উত্থিত করব অন্ধ অবস্থায়।’
English (Saheeh International):And whoever turns away from My remembrance - indeed, he will have a depressed [i.e., difficult] life, and We will gather [i.e., raise] him on the Day of Resurrection blind."
20:125

قَالَ رَبِّ لِمَ حَشَرْتَنِىٓ أَعْمَىٰ وَقَدْ كُنتُ بَصِيرًا

Bengali:সে বলবে, ‘হে আমার প্রতিপালক! কেন আমাকে অন্ধ ক’রে উঠালে? আমি তো চক্ষুষ্মান ছিলাম।’
English (Saheeh International):He will say, "My Lord, why have you raised me blind while I was [once] seeing?"
20:126

قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ أَتَتْكَ ءَايَـٰتُنَا فَنَسِيتَهَا ۖ وَكَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ تُنسَىٰ

Bengali:আল্লাহ বলবেন, ‘এভাবেই তো আমার নিদর্শনসমূহ যখন তোমার কাছে এসেছিল তখন তুমি তা ভুলে গিয়েছিলে। আজকের দিনে সেভাবেই তোমাকে ভুলে যাওয়া হচ্ছে।
English (Saheeh International):[Allāh] will say, "Thus did Our signs come to you, and you forgot [i.e., disregarded] them; and thus will you this Day be forgotten."
20:127

وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى مَنْ أَسْرَفَ وَلَمْ يُؤْمِنۢ بِـَٔايَـٰتِ رَبِّهِۦ ۚ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ أَشَدُّ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ

Bengali:আমি এভাবেই প্রতিফল দেই তাদেরকে যারা সীমালঙ্ঘন করে এবং তার প্রতিপালকের নিদর্শনে বিশ্বাস করে না। আর আখিরাতের ‘আযাব অবশ্যই সবচেয়ে বেশী কঠিন ও সবচেয়ে বেশী স্থায়ী।
English (Saheeh International):And thus do We recompense he who transgressed and did not believe in the signs of his Lord. And the punishment of the Hereafter is more severe and more enduring.1
20:128

أَفَلَمْ يَهْدِ لَهُمْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْقُرُونِ يَمْشُونَ فِى مَسَـٰكِنِهِمْ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ لِّأُو۟لِى ٱلنُّهَىٰ

Bengali:এটাও কি তাদেরকে সঠিক পথ প্রদর্শন করল না যে, আমি তাদের আগে কত মানব বংশকে ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছি যাদের বাসস্থানের ভিতর দিয়ে এরা চলাচল করে। বুদ্ধিমানদের জন্য অবশ্যই এতে নিদর্শন রয়েছে।
English (Saheeh International):Then, has it not become clear to them how many generations We destroyed before them as they walk among their dwellings? Indeed in that are signs for those of intelligence.
20:129

وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَكَانَ لِزَامًا وَأَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّى

Bengali:তোমার প্রতিপালকের নিকট থেকে পূর্ব সিদ্ধান্ত না থাকলে (তাদের শাস্তি) অবশ্যই এসে পড়ত, কিন্তু এর জন্য নির্দিষ্ট আছে একটি সময়।
English (Saheeh International):And if not for a word1 that preceded from your Lord, it [i.e., punishment] would have been an obligation [due immediately],2 and [if not for] a specified term [decreed].
20:130

فَٱصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا ۖ وَمِنْ ءَانَآئِ ٱلَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْ وَأَطْرَافَ ٱلنَّهَارِ لَعَلَّكَ تَرْضَىٰ

Bengali:কাজেই তারা যা বলছে তাতে তুমি ধৈর্য ধারণ কর এবং তোমার প্রতিপালকের প্রশংসাগীতি (নিয়মিত) উচ্চারণ কর সূর্যোদয়ের পূর্বে ও তা অস্তমিত হওয়ার পূর্বে এবং তাঁর পবিত্রতা ও মহিমা ঘোষণা কর রাত্রিকালে ও দিনের প্রান্তগুলোয় যাতে তুমি সন্তুষ্ট হতে পার।
English (Saheeh International):So be patient over what they say and exalt [Allāh] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting; and during periods of the night [exalt Him] and at the ends of the day, that you may be satisfied.
20:131

وَلَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَيْنَيْكَ إِلَىٰ مَا مَتَّعْنَا بِهِۦٓ أَزْوَٰجًا مِّنْهُمْ زَهْرَةَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا لِنَفْتِنَهُمْ فِيهِ ۚ وَرِزْقُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ

Bengali:তুমি কক্ষনো চোখ খুলে তাকিও না ঐ সব বস্তুর প্রতি যা আমি তাদের বিভিন্ন দলকে পার্থিব জীবনে উপভোগের জন্য সৌন্দর্য স্বরূপ দিয়েছি, এসব দিয়ে তাদেরকে পরীক্ষা করার জন্য। তোমার প্রতিপালকের দেয়া রিযকই হল সবচেয়ে উত্তম ও সবচেয়ে বেশী স্থায়ী।
English (Saheeh International):And do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [some] categories of them, [its being but] the splendor of worldly life by which We test them. And the provision of your Lord is better and more enduring.
20:132

وَأْمُرْ أَهْلَكَ بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَٱصْطَبِرْ عَلَيْهَا ۖ لَا نَسْـَٔلُكَ رِزْقًا ۖ نَّحْنُ نَرْزُقُكَ ۗ وَٱلْعَـٰقِبَةُ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ

Bengali:আর তোমার পবিরার-পরিজনকে নামাযের নির্দেশ দাও আর তাতে অবিচল থাক। তোমার কাছে আমি রিযক চাই না, আমিই তোমাকে রিযক দিয়ে থাকি, উত্তম পরিণাম মুত্তাকীদের জন্য নির্দিষ্ট।
English (Saheeh International):And enjoin prayer upon your family [and people] and be steadfast therein. We ask you not for provision; We provide for you, and the [best] outcome is for [those of] righteousness.
20:133

وَقَالُوا۟ لَوْلَا يَأْتِينَا بِـَٔايَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦٓ ۚ أَوَلَمْ تَأْتِهِم بَيِّنَةُ مَا فِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ

Bengali:তারা বলে, ‘সে তার প্রতিপালকের নিকট থেকে আমাদের কাছে কোন নিদর্শন নিয়ে আসে না কেন? তাদের কাছে কি আসেনি স্পষ্ট প্রমাণ যা ছিল পূর্ববর্তী (ওয়াহীকৃত) কিতাবগুলোতে।’
English (Saheeh International):And they say, "Why does he not bring us a sign from his Lord?" Has there not come to them evidence of what was in the former scriptures?1
20:134

وَلَوْ أَنَّآ أَهْلَكْنَـٰهُم بِعَذَابٍ مِّن قَبْلِهِۦ لَقَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا لَوْلَآ أَرْسَلْتَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولًا فَنَتَّبِعَ ءَايَـٰتِكَ مِن قَبْلِ أَن نَّذِلَّ وَنَخْزَىٰ

Bengali:এর (অর্থাৎ কোন নিদর্শন আসার) আগেই আমি যদি তাদেরকে ‘আযাব দিয়ে ধ্বংস করে দিতাম তাহলে তারা বলত, ‘হে আমাদের প্রতিপালক! তুমি আমাদের কাছে কেন একজন রসূল পাঠালে না? তাহলে আমরা অবশ্যই তোমার নিদর্শন মেনে চলতাম আমরা অপমানিত ও হেয় হবার আগেই।
English (Saheeh International):And if We had destroyed them with a punishment before him,1 they would have said, "Our Lord, why did You not send to us a messenger so we could have followed Your verses [i.e., teachings] before we were humiliated and disgraced?"
20:135

قُلْ كُلٌّ مُّتَرَبِّصٌ فَتَرَبَّصُوا۟ ۖ فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلصِّرَٰطِ ٱلسَّوِىِّ وَمَنِ ٱهْتَدَىٰ

Bengali:বল, (ইসলামের অনুসারীদের পরিণতি দেখার জন্য চারপাশের) সবাই অপেক্ষা করছে, কাজেই তোমরাও অপেক্ষা কর, তাহলেই তোমরা জানতে পারবে যে, কারা সরল পথের পথিক আর কারা সঠিক পথপ্রাপ্ত।
English (Saheeh International):Say, "Each [of us] is waiting;1 so wait. For you will know who are the companions of the sound path and who is guided."
