لقمان

Surah Luqman

Meaning: Luqman (এক জ্ঞানী ব্যাক্তি)

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

31:1

الٓمٓ

Bengali:আলিফ-লাম-মীম।
English (Saheeh International):Alif, Lām, Meem.1
31:2

تِلْكَ ءَايَـٰتُ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ

Bengali:এগুলো হিকমাতে ভরপুর কিতাবের আয়াত।
English (Saheeh International):These are verses of the wise1 Book,
31:3

هُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لِّلْمُحْسِنِينَ

Bengali:সৎকর্মশীলদের জন্য পথ নির্দেশ ও রহমত।
English (Saheeh International):As guidance and mercy for the doers of good
31:4

ٱلَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَهُم بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ

Bengali:যারা নামায প্রতিষ্ঠা করে, যাকাত দেয় আর তারা আখেরাতের প্রতি দৃঢ় বিশ্বাস রাখে।
English (Saheeh International):Who establish prayer and give zakāh, and they, of the Hereafter, are certain [in faith].
31:5

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ عَلَىٰ هُدًى مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ ۖ وَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ

Bengali:তারাই তাদের পালনকর্তার সঠিক পথে আছে আর তারাই সফলকাম। (দুনিয়া ও আখেরাতে)
English (Saheeh International):Those are on [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful.
31:6

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَشْتَرِى لَهْوَ ٱلْحَدِيثِ لِيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَيَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًا ۚ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ

Bengali:কতক মানুষ আল্লাহর পথ থেকে বিচ্যুত করার উদ্দেশ্যে অজ্ঞতাবশতঃ অবান্তর কথাবার্তা (গান-বাজনা) ক্রয় করে আর আল্লাহর পথকে ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রূপ করে। ওদের জন্যই আছে অবমাননাকর শাস্তি।
English (Saheeh International):And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech1 to mislead [others] from the way of Allāh without knowledge and who takes it [i.e., His way] in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment.
31:7

وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَـٰتُنَا وَلَّىٰ مُسْتَكْبِرًا كَأَن لَّمْ يَسْمَعْهَا كَأَنَّ فِىٓ أُذُنَيْهِ وَقْرًا ۖ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ

Bengali:যখন তার কাছে আমার আয়াত আবৃত্তি করা হয়, তখন সে অহংকারবশতঃ এমনভাবে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয় যেন সে তা শুনতেই পায়নি, যেন তার দুই কানে বধিরতা আছে, কজেই তাকে ভয়াবহ শাস্তির সুসংবাদ দাও।
English (Saheeh International):And when Our verses are recited to him, he turns away arrogantly as if he had not heard them, as if there was in his ears deafness. So give him tidings of a painful punishment.
31:8

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّـٰتُ ٱلنَّعِيمِ

Bengali:যারা ঈমান আনে আর সৎকাজ করে তাদের জন্য আছে নি‘য়ামাতে ভরা জান্নাত।
English (Saheeh International):Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds - for them are the Gardens of Pleasure,
31:9

خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ۖ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقًّا ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ

Bengali:তাতে তারা চিরকাল থাকবে। আল্লাহর ও‘য়াদা সত্য আর তিনি মহাপরাক্রমশালী, মহাপ্রজ্ঞাময়।
English (Saheeh International):Wherein they abide eternally; [it is] the promise of Allāh [which is] truth. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
31:10

خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍ تَرَوْنَهَا ۖ وَأَلْقَىٰ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ رَوَٰسِىَ أَن تَمِيدَ بِكُمْ وَبَثَّ فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ دَآبَّةٍ ۚ وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَأَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِيمٍ

Bengali:তিনি আকাশমন্ডলী নির্মাণ করেছেন স্তম্ভ ছাড়া যা তোমরা দেখছ। তিনি পৃথিবীতে স্থাপন করেছেন দৃঢ়ভাবে দন্ডায়মান পর্বতমালা যাতে পৃথিবী তোমাদেরকে নিয়ে নড়াচড়া না করে আর তাতে ছড়িয়ে দিয়েছেন সকল প্রকার জীবজন্তু, আর আমিই আকাশ থেকে পানি বর্ষণ করি, অতঃপর তাতে উদ্গত করি যাবতীয় কল্যাণকর উদ্ভিদ।
English (Saheeh International):He created the heavens without pillars that you see and has cast into the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shift with you, and dispersed therein from every creature. And We sent down rain from the sky and made grow therein [plants] of every noble kind.
31:11

هَـٰذَا خَلْقُ ٱللَّهِ فَأَرُونِى مَاذَا خَلَقَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن دُونِهِۦ ۚ بَلِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ فِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ

Bengali:এগুলো আল্লাহর সৃষ্টি। কাজেই আমাকে দেখাও তিনি ছাড়া অন্যেরা কী সৃষ্টি করেছে। বরং যালিমরা সুস্পষ্ট গুমরাহীতে ডুবে আছে।
English (Saheeh International):This is the creation of Allāh. So show Me what those other than Him have created. Rather, the wrongdoers are in clear error.
31:12

وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا لُقْمَـٰنَ ٱلْحِكْمَةَ أَنِ ٱشْكُرْ لِلَّهِ ۚ وَمَن يَشْكُرْ فَإِنَّمَا يَشْكُرُ لِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَنِىٌّ حَمِيدٌ

Bengali:আমি লুকমানকে প্রজ্ঞা দান করেছিলাম। (তাকে বলেছিলাম) যে, তুমি আল্লাহর কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ কর। যে কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করে, সে তা নিজের কল্যাণেই করে। আর কেউ অকৃতজ্ঞ হলে (সে জেনে রাখুক যে) আল্লাহ অমুখাপেক্ষী, প্রশংসিত।
English (Saheeh International):And We had certainly given Luqmān wisdom [and said], "Be grateful to Allāh." And whoever is grateful is grateful for [the benefit of] himself. And whoever denies [His favor] - then indeed, Allāh is Free of need and Praiseworthy.
31:13

وَإِذْ قَالَ لُقْمَـٰنُ لِٱبْنِهِۦ وَهُوَ يَعِظُهُۥ يَـٰبُنَىَّ لَا تُشْرِكْ بِٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّ ٱلشِّرْكَ لَظُلْمٌ عَظِيمٌ

Bengali:স্মরণ কর, যখন লুকমান তার ছেলেকে নসীহত ক’রে বলেছিল- হে বৎস! আল্লাহর সাথে কোন কিছুকে শিরক কর না, শিরক হচ্ছে অবশ্যই বিরাট যুলম।
English (Saheeh International):And [mention, O Muḥammad], when Luqmān said to his son while he was instructing him, "O my son, do not associate [anything] with Allāh. Indeed, association [with Him] is great injustice."
31:14

وَوَصَّيْنَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ بِوَٰلِدَيْهِ حَمَلَتْهُ أُمُّهُۥ وَهْنًا عَلَىٰ وَهْنٍ وَفِصَـٰلُهُۥ فِى عَامَيْنِ أَنِ ٱشْكُرْ لِى وَلِوَٰلِدَيْكَ إِلَىَّ ٱلْمَصِيرُ

Bengali:আমি মানুষকে তার পিতা-মাতার প্রতি সদ্ব্যবহারের নির্দেশ দিয়েছি। তার মা তাকে কষ্টের পর কষ্ট সহ্য করে গর্ভে ধারণ করে। তার দুধ ছাড়ানো হয় দু’বছরে, (নির্দেশ দিচ্ছি) যে, আমার প্রতি ও তোমার পিতামাতার প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞ হও। (তোমাদের সকলের) প্রত্যাবর্তন তো আমারই কাছে।
English (Saheeh International):And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the [final] destination.
31:15

وَإِن جَـٰهَدَاكَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن تُشْرِكَ بِى مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلْمٌ فَلَا تُطِعْهُمَا ۖ وَصَاحِبْهُمَا فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا مَعْرُوفًا ۖ وَٱتَّبِعْ سَبِيلَ مَنْ أَنَابَ إِلَىَّ ۚ ثُمَّ إِلَىَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

Bengali:তোমার পিতামাতা যদি তোমাকে পীড়াপীড়ি করে আমার অংশীদার স্থির করার জন্য যার জ্ঞান তোমার নেই, তবে তুমি তাদের কথা মানবে না। কিন্তু পৃথিবীতে তাদের সাথে সদ্ভাবে বসবাস করবে। যে আমার অভিমুখী হয় তার পথ অনুসরণ করবে। অতঃপর আমারই নিকট তোমাদের প্রত্যাবর্তন। তখন আমি তোমাদেরকে জানিয়ে দেব তোমরা যা করছিলে।
English (Saheeh International):But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge,1 do not obey them but accompany them in [this] world with appropriate kindness and follow the way of those who turn back to Me [in repentance]. Then to Me will be your return, and I will inform you about what you used to do.
31:16

يَـٰبُنَىَّ إِنَّهَآ إِن تَكُ مِثْقَالَ حَبَّةٍ مِّنْ خَرْدَلٍ فَتَكُن فِى صَخْرَةٍ أَوْ فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ أَوْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ يَأْتِ بِهَا ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَطِيفٌ خَبِيرٌ

Bengali:হে বৎস! কোন বস্তু যদি সরিষার দানা পরিমাণও হয় আর তা থাকে পাথরের ভিতরে অথবা আকাশে অথবা যমীনের নীচে, আল্লাহ তাকে এনে হাজির করবেন। আল্লাহ সূক্ষ্ণদর্শী, সব কিছুর খবর রাখেন।
English (Saheeh International):[And Luqmān said], "O my son, indeed if it [i.e., a wrong] should be the weight of a mustard seed and should be within a rock or [anywhere] in the heavens or in the earth, Allāh will bring it forth. Indeed, Allāh is Subtle1 and Aware.
31:17

يَـٰبُنَىَّ أَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأْمُرْ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَٱنْهَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنكَرِ وَٱصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَصَابَكَ ۖ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ عَزْمِ ٱلْأُمُورِ

Bengali:হে বৎস! তুমি নামায কায়িম কর, সৎ কাজের নির্দেশ দাও আর মন্দ কাজ হতে নিষেধ কর এবং বিপদাপদে ধৈর্যধারণ কর। নিশ্চয় এটা দৃঢ় সংকল্পের কাজ।
English (Saheeh International):O my son, establish prayer, enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and be patient over what befalls you. Indeed, [all] that is of the matters [requiring] resolve.1
31:18

وَلَا تُصَعِّرْ خَدَّكَ لِلنَّاسِ وَلَا تَمْشِ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مَرَحًا ۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخْتَالٍ فَخُورٍ

Bengali:অহংকারের বশবর্তী হয়ে তুমি মানুষকে অবজ্ঞা কর না, আর পৃথিবীতে গর্বভরে চলাফেরা কর না, নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ কোন দাম্ভিক অহংকারীকে পছন্দ করেন না।
English (Saheeh International):And do not turn your cheek [in contempt] toward people1 and do not walk through the earth exultantly. Indeed, Allāh does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful.
31:19

وَٱقْصِدْ فِى مَشْيِكَ وَٱغْضُضْ مِن صَوْتِكَ ۚ إِنَّ أَنكَرَ ٱلْأَصْوَٰتِ لَصَوْتُ ٱلْحَمِيرِ

Bengali:চলাফেরায় সংযত ভাব অবলম্বন কর এবং কণ্ঠস্বর নীচু কর। স্বরের মধ্যে নিশ্চয়ই গাধার স্বর সর্বাপেক্ষা শ্রুতিকটু।
English (Saheeh International):And be moderate in your pace and lower your voice; indeed, the most disagreeable of sounds is the voice of donkeys."
31:20

أَلَمْ تَرَوْا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَخَّرَ لَكُم مَّا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَأَسْبَغَ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعَمَهُۥ ظَـٰهِرَةً وَبَاطِنَةً ۗ وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يُجَـٰدِلُ فِى ٱللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَلَا هُدًى وَلَا كِتَـٰبٍ مُّنِيرٍ

Bengali:তোমরা কি লক্ষ্য কর না যে, যা কিছু আসমানসমূহে আর যমীনে আছে, আল্লাহ সমস্তই তোমাদের কল্যাণে নিয়োজিত করেছেন এবং তোমাদের প্রতি তাঁর প্রকাশ্য ও অপ্রকাশ্য নি‘য়ামাতসমূহ পরিপূর্ণ করে দিয়েছেন? কতক মানুষ জ্ঞান ছাড়াই আল্লাহ সম্বন্ধে বাক-বিতন্ডা করে, তাদের না আছে সঠিক পথের দিশা, আর না আছে কোন আলোপ্রদ কিতাব।
English (Saheeh International):Do you not see that Allāh has made subject to you whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth and amply bestowed upon you His favors, [both] apparent and unapparent? But of the people is he who disputes about Allāh without knowledge or guidance or an enlightening Book [from Him].
31:21

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ قَالُوا۟ بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ ءَابَآءَنَآ ۚ أَوَلَوْ كَانَ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ عَذَابِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ

Bengali:তাদেরকে যখন বলা হয়- আল্লাহ যা নাযিল করেছেন তা অনুসরণ কর, তখন তারা বলে- বরং আমরা তারই অনুসরণ করব আমাদের পিতৃ-পুরুষদেরকে যে পথ অনুসরণ করতে দেখেছি। শয়ত্বান যদি তাদেরকে জ্বলন্ত আগুনের শাস্তির দিকে ডাকে, তবুও কি (তারা তারই অনুসরণ করবে)?
English (Saheeh International):And when it is said to them, "Follow what Allāh has revealed," they say, "Rather, we will follow that upon which we found our fathers." Even if Satan was inviting them to the punishment of the Blaze?
31:22

۞ وَمَن يُسْلِمْ وَجْهَهُۥٓ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَهُوَ مُحْسِنٌ فَقَدِ ٱسْتَمْسَكَ بِٱلْعُرْوَةِ ٱلْوُثْقَىٰ ۗ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلْأُمُورِ

Bengali:যে কেউ আল্লাহর প্রতি আত্মসমর্পণ করে আর সে সৎকর্মশীল, সে দৃঢ়ভাবে ধারণ করে এক মজবুত হাতল। যাবতীয় কর্ম পরিণাম ফলের জন্য আল্লাহর দিকে ফিরে যায়।
English (Saheeh International):And whoever submits his face [i.e., self] to Allāh while he is a doer of good - then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold. And to Allāh will be the outcome of [all] matters.
31:23

وَمَن كَفَرَ فَلَا يَحْزُنكَ كُفْرُهُۥٓ ۚ إِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُهُمْ فَنُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا عَمِلُوٓا۟ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ

Bengali:কেউ কুফরী করলে তার কুফরী তোমাকে যেন মনোকষ্ট না দেয়, তাদের প্রত্যাবর্তন আমার কাছেই; অতঃপর আমি তাদেরকে জানিয়ে দেব তারা কী করত। (মানুষের) অন্তরসমূহে কী আছে সে সম্পর্কে আল্লাহই সবচেয়ে বেশি জানেন।
English (Saheeh International):And whoever has disbelieved - let not his disbelief grieve you. To Us is their return, and We will inform them of what they did. Indeed, Allāh is Knowing of that within the breasts.
31:24

نُمَتِّعُهُمْ قَلِيلًا ثُمَّ نَضْطَرُّهُمْ إِلَىٰ عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٍ

Bengali:অল্প সময়ের জন্য তাদেরকে ভোগ করতে দেব, অবশেষে তাদেরকে গুরুতর শাস্তিতে (প্রবেশ করতে) বাধ্য করব।
English (Saheeh International):We grant them enjoyment for a little; then We will force them to a massive punishment.
31:25

وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ ٱللَّهُ ۚ قُلِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

Bengali:যদি তুমি তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস কর- আকাশমন্ডলী ও যমীন কে সৃষ্টি করেছে, তারা অবশ্য অবশ্যই বলবে- আল্লাহ। বল, যাবতীয় প্রশংসা আল্লাহর, কিন্তু তাদের অধিকাংশই জানে না।
English (Saheeh International):And if you asked them, "Who created the heavens and earth?" they would surely say, "Allāh." Say, "[All] praise is [due] to Allāh"; but most of them do not know.
31:26

لِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْغَنِىُّ ٱلْحَمِيدُ

Bengali:আকাশমন্ডলী আর যমীনে যা আছে সব আল্লাহরই, নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ, তিনি সকল অভাব-মুক্ত, সকল প্রশংসার অধিকারী।
English (Saheeh International):To Allāh belongs whatever is in the heavens and earth. Indeed, Allāh is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy.
31:27

وَلَوْ أَنَّمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مِن شَجَرَةٍ أَقْلَـٰمٌ وَٱلْبَحْرُ يَمُدُّهُۥ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ سَبْعَةُ أَبْحُرٍ مَّا نَفِدَتْ كَلِمَـٰتُ ٱللَّهِ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ

Bengali:দুনিয়ার সব গাছ যদি কলম হয় আর সমুদ্র (কালি হয়) আর তার সাথে আরো সাত সমুদ্র যুক্ত হয়, তবুও আল্লাহর (প্রশংসার) কথা (লেখা) শেষ হবে না। আল্লাহ মহাপরাক্রমশালী, মহাপ্রজ্ঞার অধিকারী।
English (Saheeh International):And if whatever trees upon the earth were pens and the sea [was ink], replenished thereafter by seven [more] seas, the words1 of Allāh would not be exhausted. Indeed, Allāh is Exalted in Might and Wise.
31:28

مَّا خَلْقُكُمْ وَلَا بَعْثُكُمْ إِلَّا كَنَفْسٍ وَٰحِدَةٍ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَمِيعٌۢ بَصِيرٌ

Bengali:তোমাদের সকলের সৃষ্টি ও পুনরুত্থান একজন মানুষের (সৃষ্টি ও পুনরুত্থানের) মতই। আল্লাহ সর্বশ্রোতা, সর্বদ্রষ্টা।
English (Saheeh International):Your creation and your resurrection will not be but as that of a single soul.1 Indeed, Allāh is Hearing and Seeing.
31:29

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُولِجُ ٱلَّيْلَ فِى ٱلنَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِى ٱلَّيْلِ وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ كُلٌّ يَجْرِىٓ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌ

Bengali:তুমি কি দেখ না যে, আল্লাহ রাত্রিকে দিনে এবং দিনকে রাত্রিতে প্রবিষ্ট করেন এবং সূর্য ও চন্দ্রকে নিয়ন্ত্রণ করেন, প্রত্যেকেই বিচরণ করছে নির্দিষ্টকৃত সময় অনুযায়ী, তোমরা যা কিছু কর আল্লাহ সে সম্পর্কে পূর্ণরূপে অবহিত।
English (Saheeh International):Do you not see [i.e., know] that Allāh causes the night to enter the day and causes the day to enter the night and has subjected the sun and the moon, each running [its course] for a specified term, and that Allāh, of whatever you do, is Aware?
31:30

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَأَنَّ مَا يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ ٱلْبَـٰطِلُ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْعَلِىُّ ٱلْكَبِيرُ

Bengali:এসব প্রমাণ করে যে, আল্লাহ্ই সত্য এবং তাঁর পরিবর্তে তারা যাকে ডাকে তা মিথ্যে। আল্লাহ, তিনি তো হলেন সর্বোচ্চ, সুমহান।
English (Saheeh International):That is because Allāh is the True Reality, and that what they call upon1 other than Him is falsehood, and because Allāh is the Most High, the Grand.
31:31

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱلْفُلْكَ تَجْرِى فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ بِنِعْمَتِ ٱللَّهِ لِيُرِيَكُم مِّنْ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُورٍ

Bengali:তুমি কি লক্ষ্য কর না যে, নৌযানগুলো আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহে সমুদ্রে চলাচল করে যাতে তিনি তোমাদেরকে তাঁর নিদর্শনের কিছু দেখাতে পারেন। এতে অবশ্যই প্রত্যেক ধৈর্যশীল কৃতজ্ঞ ব্যক্তির জন্য নিদর্শন রয়েছে।
English (Saheeh International):Do you not see that ships sail through the sea by the favor of Allāh that He may show you of His signs? Indeed in that are signs for everyone patient and grateful.
31:32

وَإِذَا غَشِيَهُم مَّوْجٌ كَٱلظُّلَلِ دَعَوُا۟ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ فَلَمَّا نَجَّىٰهُمْ إِلَى ٱلْبَرِّ فَمِنْهُم مُّقْتَصِدٌ ۚ وَمَا يَجْحَدُ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآ إِلَّا كُلُّ خَتَّارٍ كَفُورٍ

Bengali:ঢেউ যখন তাদেরকে (মেঘের) ছায়ার মত ঢেকে নেয়, তখন তারা আল্লাহকে ডাকতে থাকে তাঁর প্রতি একনিষ্ঠ আনুগত্যে। অতঃপর আমি যখন তাদেরকে উদ্ধার ক’রে স্থলে এনে দেই, তখন তাদের কতক ন্যায়পূর্ণ আচরণ করে। কেবল মিথ্যাচারী অকৃতজ্ঞ ব্যক্তিই আমার নিদর্শনাবলী অস্বীকার করে।
English (Saheeh International):And when waves come over them like canopies, they supplicate Allāh, sincere to Him in religion [i.e., faith]. But when He delivers them to the land, there are [some] of them who are moderate [in faith]. And none rejects Our signs except everyone treacherous and ungrateful.
31:33

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱتَّقُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ وَٱخْشَوْا۟ يَوْمًا لَّا يَجْزِى وَالِدٌ عَن وَلَدِهِۦ وَلَا مَوْلُودٌ هُوَ جَازٍ عَن وَالِدِهِۦ شَيْـًٔا ۚ إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّ ۖ فَلَا تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَلَا يَغُرَّنَّكُم بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْغَرُورُ

Bengali:হে মানুষ! তোমাদের প্রতিপালককে ভয় কর আর ভয় কর সে দিনের, যেদিন পিতা তার সন্তানের কোন উপকার করতে পারবে না। সন্তানও পিতার কোনই উপকার করতে পারবে না। আল্লাহর ও‘য়াদা সত্য, কাজেই পার্থিব জীবন যেন কিছুতেই তোমাদেরকে ধোঁকায় ফেলতে না পারে আর প্রধান প্রতারক (শয়ত্বান) যেন কিছুতেই তোমাদেরকে আল্লাহ্ সম্পর্কে প্রতারিত না করে।
English (Saheeh International):O mankind, fear your Lord and fear a Day when no father will avail his son, nor will a son avail his father at all. Indeed, the promise of Allāh is truth, so let not the worldly life delude you and be not deceived about Allāh by the Deceiver [i.e., Satan].
31:34

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عِندَهُۥ عِلْمُ ٱلسَّاعَةِ وَيُنَزِّلُ ٱلْغَيْثَ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِى ٱلْأَرْحَامِ ۖ وَمَا تَدْرِى نَفْسٌ مَّاذَا تَكْسِبُ غَدًا ۖ وَمَا تَدْرِى نَفْسٌۢ بِأَىِّ أَرْضٍ تَمُوتُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌۢ

Bengali:কিয়ামতের জ্ঞান কেবল আল্লাহর নিকটই আছে, তিনিই বৃষ্টি বর্ষণ করেন, জরায়ুতে কী আছে তা তিনিই জানেন। কেউ জানে না আগামীকাল সে কী অর্জন করবে, কেউ জানে না কোন্ জায়গায় সে মরবে। আল্লাহ সর্বজ্ঞ, সর্বাধিক অবহিত।
English (Saheeh International):Indeed, Allāh [alone] has knowledge of the Hour and sends down the rain and knows what is in the wombs.1 And no soul perceives what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul perceives in what land it will die. Indeed, Allāh is Knowing and Aware.
