Surah Ya-Sin

Meaning: Ya Sin (ইয়াসীন)

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

36:1

يسٓ

Bengali:ইয়াসীন।
English (Saheeh International):Yā, Seen.1
36:2

وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ

Bengali:শপথ হিকমতপূর্ণ কুরআনের।
English (Saheeh International):By the wise1 Qur’ān,
36:3

إِنَّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

Bengali:তুমি অবশ্যই রসূলগণের অন্তর্ভুক্ত।
English (Saheeh International):Indeed you, [O Muḥammad], are from among the messengers,
36:4

عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ

Bengali:তুমি সরল সঠিক পথে প্রতিষ্ঠিত।
English (Saheeh International):On a straight path.
36:5

تَنزِيلَ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Bengali:(এ কুরআন) মহাপরাক্রমশালী পরম করুণাময় (আল্লাহ) হতে অবতীর্ণ।
English (Saheeh International):[This is] a revelation of the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,
36:6

لِتُنذِرَ قَوْمًا مَّآ أُنذِرَ ءَابَآؤُهُمْ فَهُمْ غَـٰفِلُونَ

Bengali:যাতে তুমি সতর্ক করতে পার এমন এক সম্প্রদায়কে যাদের পিৃতপুরুষদেরকে সতর্ক করা হয়নি, কাজেই তারা (আল্লাহর নিদর্শন সম্পর্কে) উদাসীন।
English (Saheeh International):That you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are unaware.
36:7

لَقَدْ حَقَّ ٱلْقَوْلُ عَلَىٰٓ أَكْثَرِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

Bengali:(জেনে বুঝে আল্লাহর অবাধ্য হওয়ার কারণে) তাদের অধিকাংশের উপর (তাদের অন্তঃকরণে সীল লাগিয়ে দেয়ার) বাণী অবধারিত হয়ে গেছে, কাজেই তারা ঈমান আনবে না।
English (Saheeh International):Already the word [i.e., decree] has come into effect upon most of them, so they do not believe.
36:8

إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا فِىٓ أَعْنَـٰقِهِمْ أَغْلَـٰلًا فَهِىَ إِلَى ٱلْأَذْقَانِ فَهُم مُّقْمَحُونَ

Bengali:আমি তাদের গলদেশে (তাদের জিদ ও অহমিকার) বেড়ি পরিয়ে দিয়েছি আর তা থুতনি পর্যন্ত (গিয়ে ঠেকেছে), কাজেই তারা মাথা খাড়া করে রেখেছে।
English (Saheeh International):Indeed, We have put shackles on their necks, and they are to their chins, so they are with heads [kept] aloft.
36:9

وَجَعَلْنَا مِنۢ بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ سَدًّا وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ سَدًّا فَأَغْشَيْنَـٰهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُبْصِرُونَ

Bengali:তাদের সামনে আমি একটা (বাধার) প্রাচীর দাঁড় করিয়ে দিয়েছি, আর পেছনে একটা প্রাচীর, উপরন্তু তাদেরকে ঢেকে দিয়েছি; কাজেই তারা দেখতে পায় না।
English (Saheeh International):And We have put before them a barrier and behind them a barrier and covered them, so they do not see.
36:10

وَسَوَآءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَأَنذَرْتَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تُنذِرْهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

Bengali:তুমি তাদেরকে সতর্ক কর আর না কর, তাদের কাছে দু’টোই সমান, তারা ঈমান আনবে না।
English (Saheeh International):And it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them - they will not believe.
36:11

إِنَّمَا تُنذِرُ مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلذِّكْرَ وَخَشِىَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنَ بِٱلْغَيْبِ ۖ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِمَغْفِرَةٍ وَأَجْرٍ كَرِيمٍ

Bengali:তুমি তো সতর্ক কেবল তাকেই করতে পার যে লোক উপদেশ মেনে চলে আর দয়াময় (আল্লাহ)-কে না দেখেও ভয় করে। অতঃপর এদেরকে তুমি ক্ষমা ও সম্মানজনক পুরস্কারের সুসংবাদ দাও।
English (Saheeh International):You can only warn one who follows the message and fears the Most Merciful unseen. So give him good tidings of forgiveness and noble reward.
36:12

إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْىِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُوا۟ وَءَاثَـٰرَهُمْ ۚ وَكُلَّ شَىْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَـٰهُ فِىٓ إِمَامٍ مُّبِينٍ

Bengali:আমিই মৃতকে জীবিত করি, আর লিখে রাখি যা তারা আগে পাঠিয়ে দেয় আর যা পেছনে ছেড়ে যায়। সব কিছুই আমি স্পষ্ট কিতাবে সংরক্ষিত করে রেখেছি।
English (Saheeh International):Indeed, it is We who bring the dead to life and record what they have put forth and what they left behind, and all things We have enumerated in a clear register.
36:13

وَٱضْرِبْ لَهُم مَّثَلًا أَصْحَـٰبَ ٱلْقَرْيَةِ إِذْ جَآءَهَا ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ

Bengali:তাদের কাছে দৃষ্টান্ত স্বরূপ এক জনপদবাসীদের কথা শুনিয়ে দাও যখন তাদের কাছে এসেছিল রসূলগণ।
English (Saheeh International):And present to them an example: the people of the city, when the messengers came to it -
36:14

إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْهِمُ ٱثْنَيْنِ فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَعَزَّزْنَا بِثَالِثٍ فَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّآ إِلَيْكُم مُّرْسَلُونَ

Bengali:যখন তাদের কাছে দু’জন রসূল পাঠিয়েছিলাম তখন তারা সে দু’জনকে মিথ্যে ব’লে প্রত্যাখ্যান করল। অতঃপর আমি তৃতীয় আরেকজন দ্বারা তাদের শক্তি বৃদ্ধি করলাম। তারা বলল- আমরা তোমাদের প্রতি প্রেরিত হয়েছি।
English (Saheeh International):When We sent to them two but they denied them, so We strengthened [them] with a third, and they said, "Indeed, we are messengers to you."
36:15

قَالُوا۟ مَآ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا وَمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ مِن شَىْءٍ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا تَكْذِبُونَ

Bengali:জনপদবাসীরা বলল- তোমরা তো আমাদেরই মত মানুষ বতীত অন্য কিছু নও। আর দয়াময় (আল্লাহ) কোন কিছুই নাযিল করেননি। তোমরা শুধু মিথ্যেই বলছ।
English (Saheeh International):They said, "You are not but human beings like us, and the Most Merciful has not revealed a thing. You are only telling lies."
36:16

قَالُوا۟ رَبُّنَا يَعْلَمُ إِنَّآ إِلَيْكُمْ لَمُرْسَلُونَ

Bengali:রসূলগণ বলল- আমাদের পালনকর্তা জানেন আমরা অবশ্যই তোমাদের প্রতি প্রেরিত হয়েছি।
English (Saheeh International):They said, "Our Lord knows that we are messengers to you,
36:17

وَمَا عَلَيْنَآ إِلَّا ٱلْبَلَـٰغُ ٱلْمُبِينُ

Bengali:স্পষ্টভাবে (আল্লাহর বাণী) পৌঁছে দেয়াই আমাদের একমাত্র দায়িত্ব।
English (Saheeh International):And we are not responsible except for clear notification."
36:18

قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا تَطَيَّرْنَا بِكُمْ ۖ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهُوا۟ لَنَرْجُمَنَّكُمْ وَلَيَمَسَّنَّكُم مِّنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

Bengali:জনপদের লোকেরা বলল- আমরা তোমাদেরকেই অমঙ্গলের কারণ মনে করি। তোমরা যদি (প্রচারকার্য থেকে) নিবৃত্ত না হও, তাহলে আমরা অবশ্য অবশ্যই তোমাদেরকে পাথর মেরে হত্যা করব এবং আমাদের পক্ষ থেকে বড়ই মর্মান্তিক শাস্তি তোমাদের উপর অবশ্য অবশ্যই নেমে আসবে।
English (Saheeh International):They said, "Indeed, we consider you a bad omen. If you do not desist, we will surely stone you, and there will surely touch you, from us, a painful punishment."
36:19

قَالُوا۟ طَـٰٓئِرُكُم مَّعَكُمْ ۚ أَئِن ذُكِّرْتُم ۚ بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌ مُّسْرِفُونَ

Bengali:রসূলগণ বলল- তোমাদের অমঙ্গলের কারণ তোমাদের সাথেই আছে (আর তা হল তোমাদের অপকর্ম)। তোমাদেরকে নসীহত করা হলেই কি (সেটাকে তোমরা তোমাদের অমঙ্গলের কারণ মনে কর)? আসলে তোমরা হচ্ছ এক সীমালঙ্ঘনকারী জাতি।
English (Saheeh International):They said, "Your omen [i.e., fate] is with yourselves. Is it1 because you were reminded? Rather, you are a transgressing people."
36:20

وَجَآءَ مِنْ أَقْصَا ٱلْمَدِينَةِ رَجُلٌ يَسْعَىٰ قَالَ يَـٰقَوْمِ ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

Bengali:নগর প্রান্ত থেকে এক লোক ছুটে আসলো। সে বলল- হে আমার জাতির লোকেরা! তোমরা রসূলদের মান্য কর।
English (Saheeh International):And there came from the farthest end of the city a man, running. He said, "O my people, follow the messengers.
36:21

ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ مَن لَّا يَسْـَٔلُكُمْ أَجْرًا وَهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ

Bengali:তোমরা মান্য কর এদেরকে- যারা তোমাদের কাছে কোন প্রতিদান চায় না। উপরন্তু তারা সঠিক পথে পরিচালিত।
English (Saheeh International):Follow those who do not ask of you [any] payment, and they are [rightly] guided.
36:22

وَمَا لِىَ لَآ أَعْبُدُ ٱلَّذِى فَطَرَنِى وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ

Bengali:কেন আমি তাঁর ‘ইবাদাত করব না যিনি আমাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন, আর তাঁর কাছেই তোমাদেরকে ফিরে যেতে হবে?
English (Saheeh International):And why should I not worship He who created me and to whom you will be returned?
36:23

ءَأَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ ءَالِهَةً إِن يُرِدْنِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ بِضُرٍّ لَّا تُغْنِ عَنِّى شَفَـٰعَتُهُمْ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا يُنقِذُونِ

Bengali:আমি কি তাঁর পরিবর্তে (অন্য) সব ইলাহ্ গ্রহণ করব? করুণাময় আল্লাহ যদি আমার কোন ক্ষতি করতে চান তবে আমার জন্য তাদের সুপারিশ কোনই কাজে আসবে না, আর তারা আমাকে উদ্ধার করতেও পারবে না।
English (Saheeh International):Should I take other than Him [false] deities [while], if the Most Merciful intends for me some adversity, their intercession will not avail me at all, nor can they save me?
36:24

إِنِّىٓ إِذًا لَّفِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ

Bengali:তা যদি করি, তাহলে আমি স্পষ্ট পথভ্রষ্টতেই পতিত হব।
English (Saheeh International):Indeed, I would then be in manifest error.
36:25

إِنِّىٓ ءَامَنتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ فَٱسْمَعُونِ

Bengali:আমি তো তোমাদের পালনকর্তার উপর ঈমান এনেছি, কাজেই তোমরা আমার কথা শুন।
English (Saheeh International):Indeed, I have believed in your Lord, so listen to me."
36:26

قِيلَ ٱدْخُلِ ٱلْجَنَّةَ ۖ قَالَ يَـٰلَيْتَ قَوْمِى يَعْلَمُونَ

Bengali:(লোকেরা তাকে হত্যা করে ফেললে আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে) তাকে বলা হল- জান্নাতে প্রবেশ কর। (তখন) সে বলল- হায়! আমার জাতির লোকেরা যদি জানত,
English (Saheeh International):It was said, "Enter Paradise."1 He said, "I wish my people could know
36:27

بِمَا غَفَرَ لِى رَبِّى وَجَعَلَنِى مِنَ ٱلْمُكْرَمِينَ

Bengali:আমার পালনকর্তা কোন্ জিনিসের বদৌলতে আমাকে ক্ষমা করেছেন আর আমাকে সম্মানিতদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত করেছেন।
English (Saheeh International):Of how my Lord has forgiven me and placed me among the honored."
36:28

۞ وَمَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ مِن جُندٍ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا كُنَّا مُنزِلِينَ

Bengali:আমি তার মৃত্যুর পর তার জাতির বিরুদ্ধে আসমান থেকে কোন সৈন্যবাহিনী পাঠাইনি, আর তা পাঠানোর আমার কোন দরকারও ছিল না।
English (Saheeh International):And We did not send down upon his people after him any soldiers from the heaven, nor would We have done so.
36:29

إِن كَانَتْ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَٰحِدَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ خَـٰمِدُونَ

Bengali:ওটা ছিল মাত্র একটা প্রচন্ড শব্দ, ফলে তারা সহসাই নিস্তব্ধ হয়ে গেল।
English (Saheeh International):It was not but one shout,1 and immediately they were extinguished.
36:30

يَـٰحَسْرَةً عَلَى ٱلْعِبَادِ ۚ مَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ

Bengali:বান্দাহদের জন্য পরিতাপ! তাদের কাছে এমন কোন রসূলই আসেনি যাকে তারা ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রূপ করেনি।
English (Saheeh International):How regretful for the servants. There did not come to them any messenger except that they used to ridicule him.
36:31

أَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْقُرُونِ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ

Bengali:তারা কি দেখে না যে, তাদের পূর্বে আমি কত মানবগোষ্ঠীকে ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছি? তারা তাদের কাছে ফিরে আসবে না।
English (Saheeh International):Have they not considered how many generations We destroyed before them - that they to them1 will not return?
36:32

وَإِن كُلٌّ لَّمَّا جَمِيعٌ لَّدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ

Bengali:তাদের সব্বাইকে একত্রে আমার কাছে হাজির করা হবে।
English (Saheeh International):And indeed, all of them will yet be brought present before Us.
36:33

وَءَايَةٌ لَّهُمُ ٱلْأَرْضُ ٱلْمَيْتَةُ أَحْيَيْنَـٰهَا وَأَخْرَجْنَا مِنْهَا حَبًّا فَمِنْهُ يَأْكُلُونَ

Bengali:মৃত যমীন তাদের জন্য একটা নিদর্শন। তাকে আমি জীবিত করি আর তা থেকে আমি উৎপন্ন করি শস্য যা থেকে তারা খায়।
English (Saheeh International):And a sign for them is the dead earth. We have brought it to life and brought forth from it grain, and from it they eat.
36:34

وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا جَنَّـٰتٍ مِّن نَّخِيلٍ وَأَعْنَـٰبٍ وَفَجَّرْنَا فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلْعُيُونِ

Bengali:আর আমি তাতে খেজুর ও আঙ্গুরের বাগান তৈরি করি, আর তাতে প্রবাহিত করি ঝর্ণাধারা।
English (Saheeh International):And We placed therein gardens of palm trees and grapevines and caused to burst forth therefrom some springs -
36:35

لِيَأْكُلُوا۟ مِن ثَمَرِهِۦ وَمَا عَمِلَتْهُ أَيْدِيهِمْ ۖ أَفَلَا يَشْكُرُونَ

Bengali:যাতে তারা তার ফল খেতে পারে- যা তারা তাদের হাত দিয়ে বানায়নি। তাহলে কেন তারা কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করে না?
English (Saheeh International):That they may eat of His fruit.1 And their hands have not produced it,2 so will they not be grateful?
36:36

سُبْحَـٰنَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْأَزْوَٰجَ كُلَّهَا مِمَّا تُنۢبِتُ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَمِنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَمِمَّا لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

Bengali:পূত পবিত্র সেই সত্তা যিনি জোড়া সৃষ্টি করেছেন প্রত্যেকটির যা উৎপন্ন করে যমীন, আর তাদের নিজেদের ভিতরেও আর সে সবেও যা তারা জানে না।
English (Saheeh International):Exalted is He who created all pairs1 - from what the earth grows and from themselves and from that which they do not know.
36:37

وَءَايَةٌ لَّهُمُ ٱلَّيْلُ نَسْلَخُ مِنْهُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فَإِذَا هُم مُّظْلِمُونَ

Bengali:তাদের জন্য একটি নিদর্শন হচ্ছে রাত, তাত্থেকে আমি দিনকে সরিয়ে নেই, ফলে তখনই তারা অন্ধকারে ডুবে যায়।
English (Saheeh International):And a sign for them is the night. We remove1 from it the [light of] day, so they are [left] in darkness.
36:38

وَٱلشَّمْسُ تَجْرِى لِمُسْتَقَرٍّ لَّهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْعَلِيمِ

Bengali:আর সূর্য তার জন্যে নির্দিষ্ট ক’রে দেয়া জায়গায় গতিশীল, এটা মহা পরাক্রমশালী সর্বজ্ঞের সুনিরূপিত নির্ধারণ।
English (Saheeh International):And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.
36:39

وَٱلْقَمَرَ قَدَّرْنَـٰهُ مَنَازِلَ حَتَّىٰ عَادَ كَٱلْعُرْجُونِ ٱلْقَدِيمِ

Bengali:আর চাঁদ-তার জন্য আমি নির্দিষ্ট করেছি বিভিন্ন মান্যিল (যা সে অতিক্রম করে), এমনকি শেষ পর্যন্ত সেটি খেজুরের কাঁদির পুরানো শুকনো দন্ডের মত হয়ে ফিরে আসে।
English (Saheeh International):And the moon - We have determined for it phases, until it returns [appearing] like the old date stalk.
36:40

لَا ٱلشَّمْسُ يَنۢبَغِى لَهَآ أَن تُدْرِكَ ٱلْقَمَرَ وَلَا ٱلَّيْلُ سَابِقُ ٱلنَّهَارِ ۚ وَكُلٌّ فِى فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ

Bengali:সূর্যের পক্ষে সম্ভব নয় চাঁদকে ধরে ফেলা, আর রাতের পক্ষে সম্ভব নয় দিনকে ছাড়িয়ে আগে বেড়ে যাওয়া, প্রত্যেকেই নিজ নিজ কক্ষ পথে সাঁতার কাটছে।
English (Saheeh International):It is not allowable [i.e., possible] for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming.
36:41

وَءَايَةٌ لَّهُمْ أَنَّا حَمَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ

Bengali:তাদের জন্য (আমার কুদরাতের) আরো একটি নিদর্শন এই যে, আমি তাদের বংশধরদেরকে (মহা প্লাবণের সময়) ভরা নৌকায় আরোহণ করিয়েছি।
English (Saheeh International):And a sign for them is that We carried their forefathers1 in a laden ship.
36:42

وَخَلَقْنَا لَهُم مِّن مِّثْلِهِۦ مَا يَرْكَبُونَ

Bengali:আর তাদের জন্য ঐ ধরনের আরো যানবাহন তৈরি করেছি যাতে তারা আরোহণ করে থাকে।
English (Saheeh International):And We created for them from the likes of it that which they ride.
36:43

وَإِن نَّشَأْ نُغْرِقْهُمْ فَلَا صَرِيخَ لَهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنقَذُونَ

Bengali:আমি ইচ্ছে করলে তাদেরকে ডুবিয়ে দিতে পারি, তখন (তাদের ফরিয়াদ শুনার জন্য) কোন সাহায্যকারী থাকবে না, আর তারা পরিত্রাণও পাবে না
English (Saheeh International):And if We should will, We could drown them; then no one responding to a cry would there be for them, nor would they be saved
36:44

إِلَّا رَحْمَةً مِّنَّا وَمَتَـٰعًا إِلَىٰ حِينٍ

Bengali:আমার রহমত না হলে, আর কিছু কালের জন্য তাদেরকে জীবন উপভোগ করতে না দিলে।
English (Saheeh International):Except as a mercy from Us and provision for a time.
36:45

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱتَّقُوا۟ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَمَا خَلْفَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ

Bengali:তাদেরকে যখন বলা হয় ‘‘তোমাদের সামনে যে পরিণাম আসছে তাত্থেকে আর তোমাদের পেছনের (অতীত জাতিগুলোর উপর ঘটে গেছে সে রকম) ‘আযাব থেকে নিজেদেরকে রক্ষা কর যাতে তোমাদের উপর রহম করা হয় (তখন তারা মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়)।’’
English (Saheeh International):But when it is said to them, "Beware of what is before you and what is behind you;1 perhaps you will receive mercy..."2
36:46

وَمَا تَأْتِيهِم مِّنْ ءَايَةٍ مِّنْ ءَايَـٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ

Bengali:তাদের কাছে তাদের প্রতিপালকের নিদর্শন থেকে যখনই কোন নিদর্শন আসে তখনই তারা তাত্থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়।
English (Saheeh International):And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they are from it turning away.
36:47

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ أَنفِقُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَنُطْعِمُ مَن لَّوْ يَشَآءُ ٱللَّهُ أَطْعَمَهُۥٓ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا فِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ

Bengali:তাদেরকে যখন বলা হয় ‘আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে যে রিযক দিয়েছেন তাত্থেকে তোমরা (আল্লাহর পথে) ব্যয় কর; তখন কাফিররা মু’মিনদেরকে বলে, ‘‘আমরা কি এমন লোককে খাওয়াবো আল্লাহ ইচ্ছে করলে যাকে খাওয়াতে পারতেন? তোমরা তো স্পষ্ট পথভ্রষ্টতে পড়ে আছ।
English (Saheeh International):And when it is said to them, "Spend from that which Allāh has provided for you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Should we feed one whom, if Allāh had willed, He would have fed? You are not but in clear error."
36:48

وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَـٰذَا ٱلْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ

Bengali:আর তারা বলে, ‘‘তোমরা যদি সত্যবাদী হও তাহলে বল, (ক্বিয়ামতের) এ ও‘য়াদা কখন পূর্ণ হবে?’’
English (Saheeh International):And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?"
36:49

مَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَٰحِدَةً تَأْخُذُهُمْ وَهُمْ يَخِصِّمُونَ

Bengali:তারা যে জন্য অপেক্ষা করছে সেটাতো একটা প্রচন্ড শব্দ যা তাদেরকে পাকড়াও করবে যখন তারা নিজেদের মধ্যে বাক-বিতন্ডায় লিপ্ত থাকবে।
English (Saheeh International):They do not await except one blast1 which will seize them while they are disputing.
36:50

فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ تَوْصِيَةً وَلَآ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِمْ يَرْجِعُونَ

Bengali:(ক্বিয়ামত এমনই হঠাৎ আক্রমণ করবে যে) তারা না পারবে ওসীয়াত করতে আর না পারবে তাদের পরিবার পরিজনের কাছে ফিরে যেতে।
English (Saheeh International):And they will not be able [to give] any instruction, nor to their people can they return.
36:51

وَنُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَإِذَا هُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَجْدَاثِ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَنسِلُونَ

Bengali:আর যখন শিঙ্গায় ফুঁক দেয়া হবে, তখনই তারা ক্ববর থেকে তাদের পালনকর্তার দিকে ছুটে আসবে।
English (Saheeh International):And the Horn will be blown;1 and at once from the graves to their Lord they will hasten.
36:52

قَالُوا۟ يَـٰوَيْلَنَا مَنۢ بَعَثَنَا مِن مَّرْقَدِنَا ۜ ۗ هَـٰذَا مَا وَعَدَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ وَصَدَقَ ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ

Bengali:তারা বলবে, ‘হায় আমাদের দুর্ভোগ! আমাদেরকে আমাদের ঘুমের জায়গা থেকে কে উঠালো? (তাদেরকে জবাব দেয়া হবে) ‘‘এটা হল তাই- দয়াময় আল্লাহ যার ও‘য়াদা দিয়েছিলেন, আর রসূলগণও সত্য কথাই বলেছিলেন।’
English (Saheeh International):They will say, "O woe to us! Who has raised us up from our sleeping place?" [The reply will be], "This is what the Most Merciful had promised, and the messengers told the truth."
36:53

إِن كَانَتْ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَٰحِدَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ جَمِيعٌ لَّدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ

Bengali:মাত্র একটা প্রচন্ড শব্দ হবে, তক্ষুণি তাদের সব্বাইকে আমার সামনে হাজির করা হবে।
English (Saheeh International):It will not be but one blast, and at once they are all brought present before Us.
36:54

فَٱلْيَوْمَ لَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

Bengali:আজ কারো প্রতি কোন যুলম করা হবে না, তোমরা যে ‘আমাল করছিলে তোমাদেরকে কেবল তারই প্রতিফল দেয়া হবে।
English (Saheeh International):So today [i.e., the Day of Judgement] no soul will be wronged at all, and you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do.
36:55

إِنَّ أَصْحَـٰبَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ ٱلْيَوْمَ فِى شُغُلٍ فَـٰكِهُونَ

Bengali:সে দিন জান্নাতীরা আনন্দে মশগুল হয়ে থাকবে।
English (Saheeh International):Indeed the companions of Paradise, that Day, will be amused in [joyful] occupation -
36:56

هُمْ وَأَزْوَٰجُهُمْ فِى ظِلَـٰلٍ عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ مُتَّكِـُٔونَ

Bengali:তারা আর তাদের স্ত্রীরা সুশীতল ছায়ায়, উঁচু উঁচু আসনে হেলান দিয়ে বসবে।
English (Saheeh International):They and their spouses - in shade, reclining on adorned couches.
36:57

لَهُمْ فِيهَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَلَهُم مَّا يَدَّعُونَ

Bengali:তাদের জন্য সেখানে থাকবে ফলমূল আর তাদের জন্য থাকবে তারা যা কিছু পেতে চাইবে।
English (Saheeh International):For them therein is fruit, and for them is whatever they request [or wish]
36:58

سَلَـٰمٌ قَوْلًا مِّن رَّبٍّ رَّحِيمٍ

Bengali:দয়াময় প্রতিপালকের পক্ষ থেকে তাদেরকে ‘সালাম’ বলে সম্ভাষণ করা হবে।
English (Saheeh International):[And] "Peace," a word from a Merciful Lord.
36:59

وَٱمْتَـٰزُوا۟ ٱلْيَوْمَ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ

Bengali:(সে দিন বলা হবে) ‘হে অপরাধীরা! আজ তোমরা আলাদা হয়ে যাও।’
English (Saheeh International):[Then He will say], "But stand apart today, you criminals.1
36:60

۞ أَلَمْ أَعْهَدْ إِلَيْكُمْ يَـٰبَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ أَن لَّا تَعْبُدُوا۟ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ

Bengali:‘হে আদাম সন্তান! আমি কি তোমাদেরকে নির্দেশ দেইনি যে, তোমরা শয়ত্বানের ‘ইবাদাত করো না, কারণ সে তোমাদের প্রকাশ্য দুশমন?
English (Saheeh International):Did I not enjoin upon you, O children of Adam, that you not worship Satan - [for] indeed, he is to you a clear enemy -
36:61

وَأَنِ ٱعْبُدُونِى ۚ هَـٰذَا صِرَٰطٌ مُّسْتَقِيمٌ

Bengali:আর আমারই ‘ইবাদাত কর, এটাই সরল সঠিক পথ।
English (Saheeh International):And that you worship [only] Me? This is a straight path.
36:62

وَلَقَدْ أَضَلَّ مِنكُمْ جِبِلًّا كَثِيرًا ۖ أَفَلَمْ تَكُونُوا۟ تَعْقِلُونَ

Bengali:(কিন্তু তোমাদেরকে সতর্ক করে দেয়া সত্ত্বেও) শয়ত্বান তোমাদের বহু দলকে বিভ্রান্ত করে দিয়েছে, তবুও কি তোমরা বুঝ না?
English (Saheeh International):And he had already led astray from among you much of creation, so did you not use reason?
36:63

هَـٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى كُنتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ

Bengali:এটা সেই জাহান্নাম যে বিষয়ে তোমাদেরকে ভয় দেখানো হয়েছিল।
English (Saheeh International):This is the Hellfire which you were promised.
36:64

ٱصْلَوْهَا ٱلْيَوْمَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ

Bengali:আজ তাতে প্রবেশ কর, কেননা তোমরা এটাকে অবিশ্বাস করেছিলে।’
English (Saheeh International):[Enter to] burn therein today for what you used to deny."1
36:65

ٱلْيَوْمَ نَخْتِمُ عَلَىٰٓ أَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَتُكَلِّمُنَآ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَتَشْهَدُ أَرْجُلُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ

Bengali:আজ আমি তাদের মুখে সীল মোহর লাগিয়ে দেব, তাদের হাত আমার সঙ্গে কথা বলবে, আর তারা যা করত সে সম্পর্কে তাদের পাগুলো সাক্ষ্য দেবে।
English (Saheeh International):That Day, We will seal over their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will testify about what they used to earn.
36:66

وَلَوْ نَشَآءُ لَطَمَسْنَا عَلَىٰٓ أَعْيُنِهِمْ فَٱسْتَبَقُوا۟ ٱلصِّرَٰطَ فَأَنَّىٰ يُبْصِرُونَ

Bengali:আমি ইচ্ছে করলে তাদের দৃষ্টিশক্তি বিলুপ্ত করে দিতাম। তখন তারা পথের দিকে দৌঁড়ে দেখতে চাইলে কীভাবে তারা দেখতে পেত?
English (Saheeh International):And if We willed, We could have obliterated their eyes, and they would race to [find] the path, and how could they see?1
36:67

وَلَوْ نَشَآءُ لَمَسَخْنَـٰهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِهِمْ فَمَا ٱسْتَطَـٰعُوا۟ مُضِيًّا وَلَا يَرْجِعُونَ

Bengali:আমি ইচ্ছে করলে তাদের নিজ নিজ জায়গাতেই তাদের আকৃতি পরিবর্তন করে দিতাম, তখন তারা না সামনের দিকে চলতে পারত, আর না পারত পেছনে ফিরে যেতে।
English (Saheeh International):And if We willed, We could have deformed them, [paralyzing them] in their places so they would not be able to proceed, nor could they return.1
36:68

وَمَن نُّعَمِّرْهُ نُنَكِّسْهُ فِى ٱلْخَلْقِ ۖ أَفَلَا يَعْقِلُونَ

Bengali:আমি যাকে দীর্ঘ জীবন দেই, তাকে সৃষ্টির ক্ষেত্রে পূর্বের অবস্থায় ফিরিয়ে আনি। তবুও কি তারা বুঝে না?
English (Saheeh International):And he to whom We grant long life We reverse in creation;1 so will they not understand?
36:69

وَمَا عَلَّمْنَـٰهُ ٱلشِّعْرَ وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لَهُۥٓ ۚ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ وَقُرْءَانٌ مُّبِينٌ

Bengali:[কাফিররা রসূল (সা.)-কে উদ্দেশ্য করে বলে, লোকটা একটা কবি। কিন্তু) আমি রসূলকে কবিতা শিখাইনি, আর তা তার জন্য শোভনীয়ও নয়। তাতো এক উপদেশ ও স্পষ্ট কুরআন ব্যতীত অন্য কিছু নয়।
English (Saheeh International):And We did not give him [i.e., Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ)] knowledge of poetry, nor is it befitting for him. It is not but a message and a clear Qur’ān
36:70

لِّيُنذِرَ مَن كَانَ حَيًّا وَيَحِقَّ ٱلْقَوْلُ عَلَى ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ

Bengali:যাতে সে (আত্মিকভাবে) জীবিতকে সতর্ক করতে পারে আর কাফিরদের বিরুদ্ধে অকাট্য দলীল হতে পারে।
English (Saheeh International):To warn whoever is alive1 and justify the word [i.e., decree] against the disbelievers.
36:71

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَا لَهُم مِّمَّا عَمِلَتْ أَيْدِينَآ أَنْعَـٰمًا فَهُمْ لَهَا مَـٰلِكُونَ

Bengali:তারা কি দেখে না যে আমার হাতে তৈরি জিনিসগুলোর মধ্যে আমি তাদের জন্য সৃষ্টি করেছি গৃহপালিত পশু আর এখন তারা এগুলোর মালিক!
English (Saheeh International):Do they not see that We have created for them from what Our hands1 have made, grazing livestock, and [then] they are their owners?
36:72

وَذَلَّلْنَـٰهَا لَهُمْ فَمِنْهَا رَكُوبُهُمْ وَمِنْهَا يَأْكُلُونَ

Bengali:আমি এগুলোকে তাদের বশীভূত করে দিয়েছি, ফলে এগুলোর কতক তাদের বাহন, আর এদের কতকগুলো তারা খায়।
English (Saheeh International):And We have tamed them for them, so some of them they ride, and some of them they eat.
36:73

وَلَهُمْ فِيهَا مَنَـٰفِعُ وَمَشَارِبُ ۖ أَفَلَا يَشْكُرُونَ

Bengali:তাদের জন্য এগুলোতে আছে বহু উপকার আর পানীয় দ্রব্য। তবুও তারা কেন শুকরিয়া আদায় করে না?
English (Saheeh International):And for them therein are [other] benefits and drinks, so will they not be grateful?
36:74

وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةً لَّعَلَّهُمْ يُنصَرُونَ

Bengali:তারা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে অনেক ইলাহ গ্রহণ করেছে এই আশায় যে, তারা (ঐ সব ইলাহ দ্বারা) সাহায্যপ্রাপ্ত হবে।
English (Saheeh International):But they have taken besides Allāh [false] deities that perhaps they would be helped.
36:75

لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ نَصْرَهُمْ وَهُمْ لَهُمْ جُندٌ مُّحْضَرُونَ

Bengali:ঐ সব ইলাহ তাদেরকে সাহায্য করতে সক্ষম নয়, বরং (উল্টো) এ লোকেরাই (ঐ সব ইলাহকে সাহায্য করার জন্য) সদা প্রস্তুত সেনাবাহিনীর মত হাযির হয়ে আছে।
English (Saheeh International):They are not able to help them, and they [themselves] are for them soldiers in attendance.1
36:76

فَلَا يَحْزُنكَ قَوْلُهُمْ ۘ إِنَّا نَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ

Bengali:কাজেই তাদের কথাবার্তা তোমাকে যেন দুঃখ না দেয়; আমি জানি তারা যা গোপন করে, আর যা প্রকাশ করে।
English (Saheeh International):So let not their speech grieve you. Indeed, We know what they conceal and what they declare.
36:77

أَوَلَمْ يَرَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَـٰهُ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٌ مُّبِينٌ

Bengali:মানুষ কি দেখে না যে আমি তাকে সৃষ্টি করেছি শুক্রবিন্দু হতে? অতঃপর সে হয়ে গেল সুস্পষ্ট ঝগড়াটে।
English (Saheeh International):Does man not consider that We created him from a [mere] sperm-drop - then at once1 he is a clear adversary?
36:78

وَضَرَبَ لَنَا مَثَلًا وَنَسِىَ خَلْقَهُۥ ۖ قَالَ مَن يُحْىِ ٱلْعِظَـٰمَ وَهِىَ رَمِيمٌ

Bengali:সে (আমার সৃষ্টির সাথে) আমার তুলনা করে, অথচ সে তার নিজের সৃষ্টির ব্যপারটি ভুলে যায় (যে তাকে আমিই সৃষ্টি করেছি)। সে বলে, ‘হাড়গুলোকে কে আবার জীবন্ত করবে যখন তা পচে গলে যাবে?’’
English (Saheeh International):And he presents for Us an example1 and forgets his [own] creation. He says, "Who will give life to bones while they are disintegrated?"
36:79

قُلْ يُحْيِيهَا ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنشَأَهَآ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ ۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ خَلْقٍ عَلِيمٌ

Bengali:বল, ‘‘তাকে তিনিই জীবন্ত করবেন যিনি ওগুলোকে প্রথমবার সৃষ্টি করেছেন, আর তিনি প্রতিটি সৃষ্টি সম্পর্কে সবচেয়ে বেশি অবগত।
English (Saheeh International):Say, "He will give them life who produced them the first time; and He is, of all creation, Knowing."
36:80

ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلشَّجَرِ ٱلْأَخْضَرِ نَارًا فَإِذَآ أَنتُم مِّنْهُ تُوقِدُونَ

Bengali:যিনি তোমাদের জন্য সবুজ গাছ হতে আগুন তৈরি করেছেন, অতঃপর তোমরা তাত্থেকে আগুন জ্বালাও।
English (Saheeh International):[It is] He who made for you from the green tree, fire, and then from it you ignite.
36:81

أَوَلَيْسَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِقَـٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يَخْلُقَ مِثْلَهُم ۚ بَلَىٰ وَهُوَ ٱلْخَلَّـٰقُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ

Bengali:যিনি আসমান যমীন সৃষ্টি করেছেন তিনি কি সেই লোকদের অনুরূপ (আবার) সৃষ্টি করতে সক্ষম নন? হাঁ, অবশ্যই। তিনি মহা স্রষ্টা, সর্বজ্ঞ।
English (Saheeh International):Is not He who created the heavens and the earth Able to create the likes of them? Yes, [it is so]; and He is the Knowing Creator.
36:82

إِنَّمَآ أَمْرُهُۥٓ إِذَآ أَرَادَ شَيْـًٔا أَن يَقُولَ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ

Bengali:তাঁর কাজকর্ম কেবল এ রকম যে, যখন তিনি কোন কিছুর ইচ্ছে করেন তখন তাকে হুকুম করেন যে হয়ে যাও, আর অমনি তা হয়ে যায়।
English (Saheeh International):His command is only when He intends a thing that He says to it, "Be," and it is.
36:83

فَسُبْحَـٰنَ ٱلَّذِى بِيَدِهِۦ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ

Bengali:কাজেই পবিত্র ও মহান তিনি যাঁর হাতে সব কিছুর সর্বময় কর্তৃত্ব, আর তাঁর কাছেই তোমাদের (সকলকে) ফিরিয়ে আনা হবে।
English (Saheeh International):So exalted is He in whose hand is the realm of all things, and to Him you will be returned.

Recitation

মিশারী রাশিদ আল-আফাসী
