المزمل

Surah Al-Muzzammil

Meaning: The Enshrouded One (বস্ত্রাচ্ছাদনকারী)

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

73:1

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْمُزَّمِّلُ

Bengali:ওহে চাদরে আবৃত (ব্যক্তি)!
English (Saheeh International):O you who wraps himself [in clothing]1
73:2

قُمِ ٱلَّيْلَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا

Bengali:রাতে নামাযে দাঁড়াও তবে (রাতের) কিছু অংশ বাদে,
English (Saheeh International):Arise [to pray] the night, except for a little -
73:3

نِّصْفَهُۥٓ أَوِ ٱنقُصْ مِنْهُ قَلِيلًا

Bengali:রাতের অর্ধেক (সময় দাঁড়াও) কিংবা তার থেকে কিছুটা কম কর,
English (Saheeh International):Half of it - or subtract from it a little
73:4

أَوْ زِدْ عَلَيْهِ وَرَتِّلِ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ تَرْتِيلًا

Bengali:অথবা তার চেয়ে বাড়াও, আর ধীরে ধীরে সুস্পষ্টভাবে কুরআন পাঠ কর।
English (Saheeh International):Or add to it, and recite the Qur’ān with measured recitation.
73:5

إِنَّا سَنُلْقِى عَلَيْكَ قَوْلًا ثَقِيلًا

Bengali:আমি তোমার উপর গুরুভার কালাম নাযিল করব (বিশ্বের বুকে যার প্রচার ও প্রতিষ্ঠা করার দায়িত্বভার অতি বড় কঠিন কাজ)।
English (Saheeh International):Indeed, We will cast upon you a heavy word.1
73:6

إِنَّ نَاشِئَةَ ٱلَّيْلِ هِىَ أَشَدُّ وَطْـًٔا وَأَقْوَمُ قِيلًا

Bengali:বাস্তবিকই রাতে বিছানা ছেড়ে উঠা আত্মসংযমের জন্য বেশি কার্যকর এবং (কুরআন) স্পষ্ট উচ্চারণের অনুকূল।
English (Saheeh International):Indeed, the hours of the night are more effective for concurrence [of heart and tongue]1 and more suitable for words.2
73:7

إِنَّ لَكَ فِى ٱلنَّهَارِ سَبْحًا طَوِيلًا

Bengali:দিনের বেলায় তোমার জন্য আছে দীর্ঘ কর্মব্যস্ততা।
English (Saheeh International):Indeed, for you by day is prolonged occupation.
73:8

وَٱذْكُرِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ وَتَبَتَّلْ إِلَيْهِ تَبْتِيلًا

Bengali:কাজেই তুমি তোমার প্রতিপালকের নাম স্মরণ কর এবং একাগ্রচিত্তে তাঁর প্রতি মগ্ন হও।
English (Saheeh International):And remember the name of your Lord and devote yourself to Him with [complete] devotion.
73:9

رَّبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقِ وَٱلْمَغْرِبِ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَٱتَّخِذْهُ وَكِيلًا

Bengali:(তিনি) পূর্ব ও পশ্চিমের সর্বময় কর্তা, তিনি ছাড়া সত্যিকারের কোন ইলাহ নেই, অতএব তাঁকেই তুমি তোমার কার্য সম্পদানকারী বানিয়ে লও।
English (Saheeh International):[He is] the Lord of the East and the West; there is no deity except Him, so take Him as Disposer of [your] affairs.1
73:10

وَٱصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَٱهْجُرْهُمْ هَجْرًا جَمِيلًا

Bengali:তারা যা বলে সে ব্যাপারে ধৈর্য ধারণ কর আর ভদ্রতার সঙ্গে তাদেরকে পরিহার ক’রে চল।
English (Saheeh International):And be patient over what they say and avoid them with gracious avoidance.
73:11

وَذَرْنِى وَٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ أُو۟لِى ٱلنَّعْمَةِ وَمَهِّلْهُمْ قَلِيلًا

Bengali:আর ছেড়ে দাও আমাকে আর নানান বিলাস সামগ্রীর মালিক ঐ মিথ্যুকদেরকে এবং তাদেরকে কিছুটা সময় অবকাশ দাও।
English (Saheeh International):And leave Me with [the matter of] the deniers, those of ease [in life], and allow them respite a little.
73:12

إِنَّ لَدَيْنَآ أَنكَالًا وَجَحِيمًا

Bengali:আমার কাছে আছে শেকল আর দাউ দাউ করে জ্বলা আগুন,
English (Saheeh International):Indeed, with Us [for them] are shackles and burning fire.
73:13

وَطَعَامًا ذَا غُصَّةٍ وَعَذَابًا أَلِيمًا

Bengali:আর গলায় আটকে যায় এমন খাবার আর মর্মান্তিক শাস্তি।
English (Saheeh International):And food that chokes and a painful punishment -
73:14

يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَٱلْجِبَالُ وَكَانَتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَثِيبًا مَّهِيلًا

Bengali:(এসব শাস্তি দেয়া হবে) যেদিন যমীন আর পাহাড়গুলো কেঁপে উঠবে, আর পাহাড়গুলো হবে চলমান বালুকারাশি।
English (Saheeh International):On the Day the earth and the mountains will convulse and the mountains will become a heap of sand pouring down.
73:15

إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْكُمْ رَسُولًا شَـٰهِدًا عَلَيْكُمْ كَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ رَسُولًا

Bengali:আমি তোমাদের কাছে তেমনিভাবে একজন রসূলকে তোমাদের প্রতি সাক্ষ্যদাতা হিসেবে পাঠিয়েছি (যিনি ক্বিয়ামতে সাক্ষ্য দিবেন যে, দ্বীনের দাওয়াত তিনি যথাযথভাবে মানুষের কাছে পৌঁছে দিয়েছেন) যেমনভাবে আমি ফেরাউনের কাছে পাঠিয়েছিলাম একজন রসূলকে।
English (Saheeh International):Indeed, We have sent to you a Messenger as a witness upon you just as We sent to Pharaoh a messenger.
73:16

فَعَصَىٰ فِرْعَوْنُ ٱلرَّسُولَ فَأَخَذْنَـٰهُ أَخْذًا وَبِيلًا

Bengali:তখন ফেরাউন সেই রসূলকে অমান্য করল। ফলে আমি তাকে শক্ত ধরায় ধরলাম।
English (Saheeh International):But Pharaoh disobeyed the messenger, so We seized him with a ruinous seizure.
73:17

فَكَيْفَ تَتَّقُونَ إِن كَفَرْتُمْ يَوْمًا يَجْعَلُ ٱلْوِلْدَٰنَ شِيبًا

Bengali:অতএব তোমরা যদি (এই রসূলকে) অস্বীকার কর, তাহলে তোমরা কীভাবে সেদিন আত্মরক্ষা করবে যেদিনটি (তার ভীষণতা ও ভয়াবহতায়) বালককে ক’রে দেবে বুড়ো।
English (Saheeh International):Then how can you fear, if you disbelieve, a Day that will make the children white-haired?1
73:18

ٱلسَّمَآءُ مُنفَطِرٌۢ بِهِۦ ۚ كَانَ وَعْدُهُۥ مَفْعُولًا

Bengali:যার কারণে আকাশ ফেটে যাবে, আল্লাহর ওয়া‘দা পূর্ণ হয়ে যাবে।
English (Saheeh International):The heaven will break apart therefrom;1 ever is His promise fulfilled.
73:19

إِنَّ هَـٰذِهِۦ تَذْكِرَةٌ ۖ فَمَن شَآءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ سَبِيلًا

Bengali:এটা উপদেশ। কাজেই যার মন চায় সে তার প্রতিপালকের দিকে পথ ধরুক।
English (Saheeh International):Indeed, this is a reminder, so whoever wills may take to his Lord a way.
73:20

۞ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ تَقُومُ أَدْنَىٰ مِن ثُلُثَىِ ٱلَّيْلِ وَنِصْفَهُۥ وَثُلُثَهُۥ وَطَآئِفَةٌ مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ مَعَكَ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ يُقَدِّرُ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ ۚ عَلِمَ أَن لَّن تُحْصُوهُ فَتَابَ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ فَٱقْرَءُوا۟ مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنَ ٱلْقُرْءَانِ ۚ عَلِمَ أَن سَيَكُونُ مِنكُم مَّرْضَىٰ ۙ وَءَاخَرُونَ يَضْرِبُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ يَبْتَغُونَ مِن فَضْلِ ٱللَّهِ ۙ وَءَاخَرُونَ يُقَـٰتِلُونَ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ فَٱقْرَءُوا۟ مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنْهُ ۚ وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتُوا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَأَقْرِضُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا ۚ وَمَا تُقَدِّمُوا۟ لِأَنفُسِكُم مِّنْ خَيْرٍ تَجِدُوهُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ هُوَ خَيْرًا وَأَعْظَمَ أَجْرًا ۚ وَٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌۢ

Bengali:তোমার প্রতিপালক জানেন যে, তুমি কখনও রাতের দু’তৃতীয়াংশ ‘ইবাদাতের জন্য দাঁড়াও, কখনও অর্ধেক, কখনও রাতের এক তৃতীয়াংশ, তোমার সঙ্গী-সাথীদের একটি দলও (তাই করে)। আল্লাহ্ই রাত আর দিনের পরিমাণ নির্ধারণ করেন। তিনি জানেন, তোমরা তা যথাযথ হিসাব রেখে পালন করতে পারবে না। কাজেই তিনি তোমাদের প্রতি ক্ষমাপরবশ হয়েছেন। কাজেই কুরআনের যতটুকু পড়া তোমার জন্য সহজ হয়, তুমি ততটুকু পড়। তিনি জানেন, তোমাদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ অসুস্থ হবে, আর কতক আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহ সন্ধানে যমীনে ভ্রমণ করবে, আর কতক আল্লাহর পথে যুদ্ধ করবে। কাজেই তোমাদের জন্য যতটুকু সহজসাধ্য হয় তাই তাত্থেকে পাঠ কর, আর নামায প্রতিষ্ঠা কর, যাকাত দাও আর আল্লাহকে ঋণ দাও উত্তম ঋণ। তোমরা যা কিছু কল্যাণ নিজেদের জন্য আগে পাঠাবে, তা আল্লাহর নিকট (সঞ্চিত) পাবে, তাই উত্তম এবং পুরস্কার হিসেবে খুব বড়। তোমরা আল্লাহর নিকট ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা কর, আল্লাহ অতি ক্ষমাশীল, বড়ই দয়ালু।
English (Saheeh International):Indeed, your Lord knows, [O Muḥammad], that you stand [in prayer] almost two thirds of the night or half of it or a third of it, and [so do] a group of those with you. And Allāh determines [the extent of] the night and the day. He has known that you [Muslims] will not be able to do it1 and has turned to you in forgiveness, so recite what is easy [for you] of the Qur’ān. He has known that there will be among you those who are ill and others traveling throughout the land seeking [something] of the bounty of Allāh and others fighting for the cause of Allāh. So recite what is easy from it and establish prayer and give zakāh and loan Allāh a goodly loan.2 And whatever good you put forward for yourselves - you will find it with Allāh. It is better and greater in reward. And seek forgiveness of Allāh. Indeed, Allāh is Forgiving and Merciful.
