Surah Adh-Dhariyat

Meaning: The Winnowing Winds (বিক্ষেপকারী বাতাস)

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

51:1

وَٱلذَّٰرِيَـٰتِ ذَرْوًا

Bengali:শপথ সেই বাতাসের যা ধূলাবালি উড়ায়,
English (Saheeh International):By the [winds] scattering [dust], dispersing [it]
51:2

فَٱلْحَـٰمِلَـٰتِ وِقْرًا

Bengali:আর যা উঠিয়ে নেয় আর বহন করে ভারী বোঝা,
English (Saheeh International):And the [clouds] carrying a load [of water]
51:3

فَٱلْجَـٰرِيَـٰتِ يُسْرًا

Bengali:আর যা ধীর ও শান্ত গতিতে বয়ে চলে
English (Saheeh International):And the ships sailing with ease
51:4

فَٱلْمُقَسِّمَـٰتِ أَمْرًا

Bengali:আর যারা কর্ম বণ্টন করে,
English (Saheeh International):And the [angels] apportioning [each] matter,
51:5

إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٌ

Bengali:তোমাদেরকে যার ও‘য়াদা দেয়া হয়েছে তা অবশ্যই সত্য।
English (Saheeh International):Indeed, what you are promised is true.
51:6

وَإِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ لَوَٰقِعٌ

Bengali:কর্মফল দিবস অবশ্যই আসবে।
English (Saheeh International):And indeed, the recompense is to occur.
51:7

وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْحُبُكِ

Bengali:বহু পথ বিশিষ্ট আকাশের শপথ।
English (Saheeh International):By the heaven containing pathways,1
51:8

إِنَّكُمْ لَفِى قَوْلٍ مُّخْتَلِفٍ

Bengali:(পরকাল সম্পর্কে) তোমরা অবশ্যই রয়েছ মতভেদের মধ্যে।
English (Saheeh International):Indeed, you are in differing speech.1
51:9

يُؤْفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنْ أُفِكَ

Bengali:যারা সেই (সত্য) মানতে ভুল করে তারাই গুমরাহ।
English (Saheeh International):Deluded away from it [i.e., the Qur’ān] is he who is deluded.
51:10

قُتِلَ ٱلْخَرَّٰصُونَ

Bengali:অনুমানকারীরা ধ্বংস হোক,
English (Saheeh International):Destroyed are the misinformers1
51:11

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى غَمْرَةٍ سَاهُونَ

Bengali:যারা অজ্ঞতা ও উদাসীনতার মধ্যে রয়েছে।
English (Saheeh International):Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless.
51:12

يَسْـَٔلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ

Bengali:তারা জিজ্ঞেস করে- ‘প্রতিফল দিবস কবে হবে?’
English (Saheeh International):They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?"
51:13

يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ

Bengali:(তা হবে সেদিন) যেদিন তাদেরকে আগুনে শাস্তি দেয়া হবে।
English (Saheeh International):[It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire.
51:14

ذُوقُوا۟ فِتْنَتَكُمْ هَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ

Bengali:(তাদেরকে বলা হবে) তোমরা তোমাদের (কৃতকর্মের) শাস্তি ভোগ কর, এটা হচ্ছে তাই যার জন্য তোমরা তাড়াহুড়া করছিলে।
English (Saheeh International):[And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient."
51:15

إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ

Bengali:মুত্তাকীরা থাকবে জান্নাত আর ঝর্ণাধারার মাঝে।
English (Saheeh International):Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs,
51:16

ءَاخِذِينَ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحْسِنِينَ

Bengali:তাদের প্রতিপালক যা তাদেরকে দিবেন তা তারা ভোগ করবে, কারণ তারা পূর্বে (দুনিয়ার জীবনে) ছিল সৎকর্মশীল,
English (Saheeh International):Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good.
51:17

كَانُوا۟ قَلِيلًا مِّنَ ٱلَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَ

Bengali:তারা রাত্রিকালে খুব কমই শয়ন করত।
English (Saheeh International):They used to sleep but little of the night,1
51:18

وَبِٱلْأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ

Bengali:আর তারা রাত্রির শেষ প্রহরে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করত।
English (Saheeh International):And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness,
51:19

وَفِىٓ أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ حَقٌّ لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَٱلْمَحْرُومِ

Bengali:এবং তাদের ধন-মালে আছে যাঞ্ঝাকারী ও বঞ্চিতদের অধিকার (যা তারা আদায় করত)।
English (Saheeh International):And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived.
51:20

وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ءَايَـٰتٌ لِّلْمُوقِنِينَ

Bengali:নিশ্চিত বিশ্বাসীদের জন্য পৃথিবীতে আছে নিদর্শন,
English (Saheeh International):And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith]
51:21

وَفِىٓ أَنفُسِكُمْ ۚ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ

Bengali:আর (নিদর্শন আছে) তোমাদের মাঝেও, তোমরা কি দেখ না?
English (Saheeh International):And in yourselves. Then will you not see?
51:22

وَفِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ

Bengali:এবং আকাশে আছে তোমাদের রিযক আর আছে যার ও‘য়াদা তোমাদেরকে দেয়া হয়েছে।
English (Saheeh International):And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised.
51:23

فَوَرَبِّ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُۥ لَحَقٌّ مِّثْلَ مَآ أَنَّكُمْ تَنطِقُونَ

Bengali:আকাশ ও যমীনের প্রতিপালকের শপথ! এ সব অবশ্যই সত্য, এমনই দৃঢ় সত্য যেমন তোমরা (যে কথাবার্তা) বলে থাক (সেই কথাবার্তা বলার ব্যাপারটা যেমন নিঃসন্দেহে সত্য)।
English (Saheeh International):Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking.
51:24

هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ٱلْمُكْرَمِينَ

Bengali:তোমার কাছে ইবরাহীমের সম্মানিত মেহমানদের খবর পৌঁছেছে কি?
English (Saheeh International):Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham?1 -
51:25

إِذْ دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا۟ سَلَـٰمًا ۖ قَالَ سَلَـٰمٌ قَوْمٌ مُّنكَرُونَ

Bengali:যখন তারা তার সামনে উপস্থিত হল তখন বলল, ‘সালাম’। সে উত্তর দিল- ‘সালাম’। (ইবরাহীম মনে মনে ভাবল এদেরকে তো দেখছি) অপরিচিত লোক।
English (Saheeh International):When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace; [you are] a people unknown."
51:26

فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ فَجَآءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ

Bengali:তখন সে তাড়াতাড়ি তার ঘরের লোকেদের নিকট চলে গেল এবং একটি মোটাতাজা (ভাজা) বাছুর নিয়ে আসল।
English (Saheeh International):Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf.
51:27

فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ

Bengali:অতঃপর সেটিকে তাদের সামনে রেখে দিল এবং বলল- ‘তোমরা খাচ্ছ না কেন?’
English (Saheeh International):And placed it near them; he said, "Will you not eat?"
51:28

فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً ۖ قَالُوا۟ لَا تَخَفْ ۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَـٰمٍ عَلِيمٍ

Bengali:(যখন তারা খেল না) তখন সে তাদের ব্যাপারে মনে ভয় পেয়ে গেল। তারা বলল- ‘তুমি ভয় পেও না’, অতঃপর তারা তাকে এক জ্ঞানবান পুত্রের সুসংবাদ দিল।
English (Saheeh International):And he felt from them apprehension.1 They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy.
51:29

فَأَقْبَلَتِ ٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ فِى صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌ

Bengali:তখন তার স্ত্রী চিৎকার করতে করতে এগিয়ে আসল। সে নিজের কপালে আঘাত করে বলল ‘(আমি) এক বৃদ্ধা, বন্ধ্যা’ (আমার কীভাবে সন্তান হবে?)
English (Saheeh International):And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman!"
51:30

قَالُوا۟ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ

Bengali:তারা বলল- ‘‘তোমার প্রতিপালক এ রকমই বলেছেন, তিনি মহা প্রজ্ঞাময়, সর্বজ্ঞ"।
English (Saheeh International):They said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing."
51:31

۞ قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ

Bengali:ইবরাহীম বলল- ‘ওহে আল্লাহর দূতগণ (ফেরেশতারা)! তোমাদের কাজ কী (এখন)?’
English (Saheeh International):[Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?"
51:32

قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّآ أُرْسِلْنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ مُّجْرِمِينَ

Bengali:তারা বলল- ‘আমাদেরকে এক অপরাধী জাতির কাছে পাঠানো হয়েছে'।
English (Saheeh International):They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals1
51:33

لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّن طِينٍ

Bengali:যেন তাদের উপর মাটির পাথর বর্ষণ করি
English (Saheeh International):To send down upon them stones of clay,
51:34

مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ

Bengali:যা তোমার প্রতিপালকের নিকট চিহ্নিত হয়ে আছে সীমালঙ্ঘনকারীদের জন্য।
English (Saheeh International):Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors."
51:35

فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Bengali:সেখানে যারা মু’মিন ছিল আমি তাদেরকে বের করে এনেছিলাম,
English (Saheeh International):So We brought out whoever was in them [i.e., the cities] of the believers.
51:36

فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍ مِّنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ

Bengali:আমি সেখানে মুসলিমদের একটি পরিবার ছাড়া আর পাইনি।
English (Saheeh International):And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims.1
51:37

وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَآ ءَايَةً لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ

Bengali:আর তাদের জন্য সেখানে একটা নিদর্শন রেখে দিলাম যারা অত্যন্ত পীড়াদায়ক ‘আযাবের ভয় করে।
English (Saheeh International):And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment.
51:38

وَفِى مُوسَىٰٓ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَـٰهُ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ

Bengali:আর মূসার ঘটনাতেও (নিদর্শন আছে) যখন আমি তাকে স্পষ্ট প্রমাণসহ ফেরাউনের কাছে পাঠিয়েছিলাম,
English (Saheeh International):And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority.1
51:39

فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكْنِهِۦ وَقَالَ سَـٰحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ

Bengali:তখন সে তার ক্ষমতার দাপটে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিল আর বলল- ‘এ লোক একটা যাদুকর না হয় পাগল।’
English (Saheeh International):But he turned away with his supporters and said, "A magician or a madman."
51:40

فَأَخَذْنَـٰهُ وَجُنُودَهُۥ فَنَبَذْنَـٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ

Bengali:শেষে আমি তাকে আর তার সৈন্য সামন্তকে পাকড়াও করলাম আর তাদেরকে সমুদ্রে নিক্ষেপ করলাম। সে ছিল ধিকৃত নিন্দিত।
English (Saheeh International):So We took him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea, and he was blameworthy.
51:41

وَفِى عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلرِّيحَ ٱلْعَقِيمَ

Bengali:আর ‘আদ-এর ঘটনাতেও (নিদর্শন আছে)। আমি তাদের কাছে পাঠিয়েছিলাম অকল্যাণের বাতাস।
English (Saheeh International):And in ʿAad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind.1
51:42

مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَىْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَٱلرَّمِيمِ

Bengali:তা যা কিছুর উপর দিয়ে বয়ে গিয়েছিল তাকে চূর্ণ-বিচূর্ণ ও ধ্বংসস্তুপে পরিণত না করে ছাড়েনি।
English (Saheeh International):It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins.
51:43

وَفِى ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ

Bengali:আর সামূদের ঘটনাতেও (নিদর্শন আছে) যখন তাদেরকে বলা হয়েছিল, ‘একটা নির্দিষ্ট সময় পর্যন্ত ভোগ করে লও।’
English (Saheeh International):And in Thamūd, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time."
51:44

فَعَتَوْا۟ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلصَّـٰعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ

Bengali:কিন্তু তারা ধৃষ্টতার সঙ্গে তাদের প্রতিপালকের আদেশ অমান্য করল। ফলে বজ্রাঘাত তাদেরকে পাকড়াও করল যা তারা চেয়ে চেয়ে দেখছিল।
English (Saheeh International):But they were insolent toward the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on.
51:45

فَمَا ٱسْتَطَـٰعُوا۟ مِن قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُنتَصِرِينَ

Bengali:তারা (পায়ের ভরে) উঠে দাঁড়াতেও পারল না আর আত্মরক্ষা করতেও পারল না।
English (Saheeh International):And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves.
51:46

وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًا فَـٰسِقِينَ

Bengali:ইতোপূর্বে আমি নূহের জাতিকে ধ্বংস করেছিলাম, তারা ছিল এক পাপাচারী জাতি।
English (Saheeh International):And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient.
51:47

وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بَنَيْنَـٰهَا بِأَيْي۟دٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ

Bengali:আমি নিজ হাত দ্বারা আসমান সৃষ্টি করেছি আর আমি অবশ্যই মহা প্রশস্তকারী।
English (Saheeh International):And the heaven We constructed with strength,1 and indeed, We are [its] expander.
51:48

وَٱلْأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَـٰهَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْمَـٰهِدُونَ

Bengali:আর যমীন- তাকে আমিই বিছিয়েছি, আমি কতই না সুন্দর (সমতল) প্রসারণকারী!
English (Saheeh International):And the earth We have spread out, and excellent is the preparer.
51:49

وَمِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ

Bengali:আমি প্রত্যেকটি বস্তু সৃষ্টি করেছি জোড়ায় জোড়ায়, যাতে তোমরা শিক্ষা গ্রহণ কর।
English (Saheeh International):And of all things We created two mates [i.e., counterparts]; perhaps you will remember.
51:50

فَفِرُّوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ

Bengali:অতএব দৌড়াও আল্লাহর দিকে, আমি তোমাদের জন্য তাঁর পক্ষ হতে স্পষ্ট সতর্ককারী।
English (Saheeh International):So flee to Allāh.1 Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner.
51:51

وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا۟ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ ۖ إِنِّى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ

Bengali:তোমরা আল্লাহর সঙ্গে কোন ইলাহ স্থির করো না, আমি তাঁর পক্ষ থেকে তোমাদের জন্য স্পষ্ট সতর্ককারী।
English (Saheeh International):And do not make [as equal] with Allāh another deity. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner.
51:52

كَذَٰلِكَ مَآ أَتَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا۟ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ

Bengali:এভাবে যখনই তাদের আগের লোকেদের মধ্যে কোন রসূল এসেছে, তখনই তারা বলেছে- ‘সে যাদুকর না হয় উন্মাদ।’
English (Saheeh International):Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman."
51:53

أَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِهِۦ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ

Bengali:তারা কি বংশ পরম্পরায় এরই অসিয়ত (অর্থাৎ অন্তিম সবক) দিয়ে আসছে, বরং তারা সীমালঙ্ঘনকারী জাতি।
English (Saheeh International):Did they suggest it to them?1 Rather, they [themselves] are a transgressing people.
51:54

فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِمَلُومٍ

Bengali:কাজেই তুমি তাদের দিক থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে লও, তার জন্য তুমি তিরস্কৃত হবে না।
English (Saheeh International):So leave them, [O Muḥammad], for you are not to be blamed.
51:55

وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ تَنفَعُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Bengali:আর তুমি উপদেশ দিতে থাক, কেননা উপদেশ মু’মিনদের উপকার করবে।
English (Saheeh International):And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers.
51:56

وَمَا خَلَقْتُ ٱلْجِنَّ وَٱلْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ

Bengali:আমি জ্বিন ও মানবকে সৃষ্টি করেছি একমাত্র এ কারণে যে, তারা আমারই ‘ইবাদাত করবে।
English (Saheeh International):And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.
51:57

مَآ أُرِيدُ مِنْهُم مِّن رِّزْقٍ وَمَآ أُرِيدُ أَن يُطْعِمُونِ

Bengali:আমি তাদের থেকে রিযক চাই না, আর আমি এও চাই না যে, তারা আমাকে খাওয়াবে।
English (Saheeh International):I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me.
51:58

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلرَّزَّاقُ ذُو ٱلْقُوَّةِ ٱلْمَتِينُ

Bengali:আল্লাহই তো রিযকদাতা, মহা শক্তিধর, প্রবল পরাক্রান্ত।
English (Saheeh International):Indeed, it is Allāh who is the [continual] Provider,1 the firm possessor of strength.
51:59

فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ذَنُوبًا مِّثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَـٰبِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ

Bengali:কাজেই যারা যুলম করেছে তাদের প্রাপ্য তাই যে প্রাপ্য পূর্বে ছিল তাদের মত লোকেদের; কাজেই (নিজেদের প্রাপ্য পাওয়ার জন্য) তারা যেন তাড়াহুড়া না করে।
English (Saheeh International):And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their companions [i.e., predecessors], so let them not impatiently urge Me.
51:60

فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن يَوْمِهِمُ ٱلَّذِى يُوعَدُونَ

Bengali:কাফিরদের জন্য ধ্বংস (নেমে আসবে) তাদের সেদিনের যেদিনের ভয় তাদেরকে দেখানো হয়েছে।
English (Saheeh International):And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised.
